Basic Travel Requirements for Senegaleses visiting Algeria

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Algerian Visa.


  • Passport that is valid for at least 6 months after the return date.
  • The Senegal passport must have at least one empty page for the Algerian visa stamp. 
  • Amendment pages in the back of the passport are not suitable for Algeria visas.
  • Two recent 2 by 2 passport photograph taken against a white background is required.
  • One application form must be legible and fully completed in capital letters with signature.
  • A copy of a valid ID document is required.
  • Copy of air-ticket or itinerary is required to be submitted by applicants.
  • The itinerary must show the applicant's name, date of arrival and departure details.
  • Copy of confirmed/pre-paid accommodation or hotel reservations is required.
  • Applicants should ensure all photocopies of original documents as requested by the embassy have been made prior to submission.
  • Proof of sufficient funds is required by providing a bank statement showing that the applicant has enough funds for the trip and duration of stay in Algeria.
  • Proof of no criminal record signed by the local police department in Senegal.
