Frequently Asked Questions

What is the official language of China?

Standard Chinese (known in China as Putonghua), a form of Mandarin Chinese, is the official national spoken language for the mainland and serves as a lingua franca within the Mandarin-speaking regions (and, to a lesser extent, across the other regions of mainland China).

What do they eat in China?

Chinese people basically eat all animals' meat, such as pork, beef, mutton, chicken, duck, pigeon, as well as many others. Pork is the most commonly consumed meat, and it appears in almost every meal. It is so common that it can be used to mean both meat and pork. Peking duck is a famous duck dish in China.

Is China safe for tourist?

China is relatively safe and non-violent. Unrest is mostly contained to certain areas. Most crime, such as pickpocketing, is preventable by taking precautions.

What should I wear in China?

Shirts that are low-cut, or leave shoulders and backs mostly bare, should be avoided. Similarly, it is safer not to wear incredibly short dresses, skirts, or shorts when you are deciding what to wear in China. Also, sweat pants should also be avoided as casual streetwear.
