Basic Travel Requirements for Senegaleses visiting Mexico

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Mexican Visa.


  • A Senegal passport that is valid at arrival with at least one blank page for entry stamp. 
  • A duly completed and signed visa application form.
  • The parents or legal guardians are to sign the form if the applicant is a minor.
  • Three identical passport-size photographs (40 x 40 cm) must be submitted.
  • Applicants are required to show proof of financial capability by submitting a copy of the original bank statements of the last 6 months.
  • Proof of accommodation or hotel reservations is required.
  • A copy of the return flight ticket to Senegal is required.
  • Documentation showing the applicant’s ties to the home country such as land properties and utility bills are required.
  • A police report showing the traveller does not have a criminal record. Applicants with criminal records may face visa denial/rejection.
  • Medical insurance that covers the whole duration of stay in Mexico is required.
  • Documentation confirming the purpose of travel should also be submitted by the applicant.
  • A copy of the travel itinerary showing exit and entry date is required.
  • Applicants are to provide proof of the paid visa application fee.
  • A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required if the applicant is coming from an infected area.
