Basic Travel Requirements for Senegaleses visiting Spain

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Spanish Visa.


  • One visa application form completely filled out and signed by the applicant. 
  • One passport format photo that has a light background, is rightly colored and shows full face features. 
  • The photo must be less than three months old and be glued on the application form. Applications with stapled photographs will be rejected.
  • Proof of travel arrangements such as full travel itinerary showing travel details to Spain.
  • Travel/medical insurance stating that the applicant is covered in case of a medical emergency and repatriation in Spain (minimum coverage of € 30.000).
  • Proof of accommodation in Spain such as hotel booking/ rental agreement, or an official letter from the host issued by the Police of Spain with a copy of the host’s passport.
  • Proof of financial subsistence such as a recent statement of the last three months that shows funds of at least 500 £ (594 €).
  • Applicants are required to pay 60 euros for the visa application.
  • The applicant should take note that Cash is not accepted as a valid proof of financial subsistence.
  • A visa invitation letter is a letter written by the person/company the applicant is going to visit in Spain.
