Entry Requirements

  • Singapore passport holders may stay up to 30 days in Eswatini on a normal tourist visa.  
  • The passports are to have a validity of  6 months and should also have at least 2 blank pages for entry stamps on arrival.
  • There should be at least 2 empty pages on the passport for the Eswatini immigration stamp.
  • Visitors who wish to extend their stay can apply for a 30-day further extension at the Ministry of Home Affairs. However, if they wish to stay longer than 60 days, they would need to apply for a Temporary Residence Permit.
  • Visitors below the age of 18 years are required to provide an Authorisation form signed by the parents.
  • Service charge of SZL 20 is levied on visitors arriving at international airports.
  • Visitors are expected to hold proof of accommodation as well as proof of adequate funds to cover the expenses throughout their stay.
  • There are restrictions to the importation of meat, diary products, fruits, vegetables and plants.
  • There are no restrictions on the importation of foreign and local currencies. However, amounts exceeding SZL 15,000 must be declared on arrival.
  • At departure, visitors are only allowed to possess foreign currencies up to the amount that was declared upon entry.
  • Baggage is usually cleared at Matsapha International Airport, which is the only airport of Swaziland.
  • It is illegal to take photographs of Swaziland's government buildings, buildings of armed forces, royal residences, and official ceremonies without prior permission from government authorities.
  • Visitors are advised to convert currencies at authorized currency exchanges and never with street vendors.
  • Swaziland uses type M power plugs. The standard voltage supply is 230 V and the standard frequency is 50 Hz
