How to get a Venezuela visa from Singapore

• Singaporeans traveling to Venezuela for the purpose of tourism are required to apply for the Venezuelan tourist visa.
• Currency restriction for entry into and exit out of Venezuela is USD 10,000 (or equivalent). Travelers must declare them at the entry port.
• Immigration officials often require proof of accommodation while in Venezuela, this should come in the form of a hotel booking.
• Adequate means to financially cater for expenses during the trip must be provided by the applicant. This is to be presented in the form of a bank statement.
• Travelers are advised to use official crossing points when entering Venezuela. You must also obtain an entry stamp to prove you entered the country legally.
• Venezuela uses biometric equipment to register photos and fingerprints of all travelers to Margarita Island. Please take your valid passport with you when traveling to the Island.
• Venezuela's child protection law mandates that minors (under 18) of any nationality who are traveling, be it alone, with only one parent, or with a third party, must present a copy of their birth certificate and written, notarized authorization from the absent parent(s) or legal guardian
• Proof of yellow fever vaccinations must be provided by applicants.
• Do not use “libre” taxis or any taxis hailed on the street. Taxi drivers in Caracas are known to overcharge passengers. Use only radio-dispatched taxis or taxis from reputable hotels.
• You are encouraged to use major credit cards. Do not use travelers’ checks.
• In Venezuela, it is illegal to take pictures of sensitive buildings, including the presidential palace, military bases, government buildings, and airports.
  

• The business visa is issued to Singaporean traders, executives, representatives of enterprises & industries going to Venezuela in order to accomplish business-related activities.
• The Venezuelan business visa is valid for one (1) year with multiple entries. Its holder is allowed to stay in the country for a non-renewable period of up to 180 days.
• The applicant's company must provide proof of business registration.
• A cover letter written on company letterhead must be provided, and the letter must include the following:
• The traveler's position with the company
• Purpose of travel.
• Reference to be visited in Venezuela.
• Guarantee of return, transportation and sufficient funds for the visit
• The letter should be signed by an officer of the company other than the applicant.
• The letter must state if the host company will take up applicant's expenses.
• Original recommendation from the chamber of commerce in Venezuela must be provided.
  
• Income tax for the last three months must be provided.
• An invitation letter from the host company in Singapore must be provided.
• Confirmation of return ticket must be provided, this is to show that the applicant has the intention of returning back to their country.

Typically, the process takes between 2 to 15 days.

The best time to visit Venezuela is during the dry season, from November to April. This period is best for those who prefer warm sunny weather with little amount of rainfall.
