India Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

    • Somalia citizens with the intention to go for sightseeing in India can apply for a tourist visa.
    • Asides sightseeing, casual visits to meet friends and relatives, no other activities are permissible on a tourist visa.
    • An India tourist visa is valid for six months and not extendable.
    • The following persons are not eligible to apply for a tourist visa and must apply for the Entry Visa instead:
    • Person of Indian origin.
    • Spouse and children of a person of Indian origin.
    • Spouse and dependent family members of a foreign national coming to India on a long-term visa.

    • The Indian business visa is applicable to Somalia citizens who would like to go on a business trip to India.
    • India Business visa in Somalia is a multiple-entry visa and it is  valid for a minimum of 6months 
    • The visa duration starts on the day of issuance, and not on the day of entry into India.

    • India medical visa is for foreigners visiting India for medical treatments.
    • A dully signed and stamp Invitation letter with contact details, from the hospital/medical Institute in Indiaspecifying the nature of the medical treatment to be undertaken along with the start and end date of this treatment.
    •  Up to two attendants who are blood relatives are allowed to accompany the applicant to India.
    • The relatives are required to obtain a separate medical attendant visa, and it will validate the same date as the medical visa principle.

    • Applicants are required to provide proof of relationship with those they intend to travel with.
