Basic Travel Requirements for Somalis visiting Netherlands

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Dutch Visa.


  • A Somalian international passport and copies of your previous visas valid for at least 3 months beyond return date are required. Your passport must have at least two blank pages. 
  • A duly completed and signed visa application form.
  • If the applicant is a minor, the parents/legal guardians have to sign the form.
  • Two passport-size photographs (35mm x 45mm) taken in light grey background.
  • Travel document.
  • Proof of financial support.
  • Proof of accommodation for the whole duration of stay in the Netherlands.
  • Copy of flight itinerary reservation with dates and flight numbers specifying entry and exit from the Netherlands.
  • Documentation showing applicant’s ties to the home country.
