Tourist visa
- The Bosnia tourist visa is issued to foreigners intending to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina for the purpose of leisure and tourism.
- The applicant must provide an original passport of at least six months validity.
- Both the tourist visa and the visitor visa refer to the same document. Kenyans who have been invited by their friends or relatives residing in the country will also need a tourist visa.
- If the purpose of the applicant’s journey is to visit someone in the country, a letter of invitation from the host is required. The letter should state the applicant’s relationship with the host, as well as the valid contact details of the host.
- This invitation must be certified by the Ministry of Bosnia and Herzegovina - Department for Foreign Citizen.
- All tourist travelers are advised to register with the police within 72 hours of their arrival.
- Working applicants are required to present a letter from their employer confirming their employment. The letter should state the name of the company and the leave details.
- Minors should ensure they have the original copy of their birth certificate bearing both names of the parent. If the minor is traveling alone or with one of his/her parent, a notarized consent signed by both the parents is required.
- If using a travel agency, voucher of the agency stating that the trip has been paid in full must be provided.
- Travelers should demonstrate they have enough money to comfortably spend at least KM150 each day of their stay.
- If travelers are bringing pets, they should provide a veterinary certificate and a vaccination record for rabies.
- Foreigners on a tourist visa are not permitted to engage in business activities.
- Try not to overstay the duration of your visa as this is an offense with serious consequences.
- If you wish to stay longer than 90 days, you must apply to the border police for a residence permit.
Business visa
- The Bosnia business visa is for Kenyan businessmen and women coming to the country for business purposes.
- Foreigners who travel to Bosnia on this visa are allowed to negotiate and sign business contracts with their partners in the country.
- Visa holders are also free to attend conferences, trade fairs, and business summits while they are in the country.
- Applicants must provide an original passport of at least six months validity.
- Kenyans who will be attending conferences in the country should ensure that they pre-register for the conference before traveling to the country. Proof of registration for the conference will be required during the visa application.
- A letter from your employer confirming awareness and allowance of your leave is required. The letter should contain the position the applicant is holding in the company, as well as the terms of employment and the duration of the leave.
- An official letter of invitation from the company you are meeting with in Bosnia should be provided. The letter should include the official contact address, the duration of your trip, and the purpose of your visit.
- The party that will be responsible for the applicant’s finances in the country should be stated in the letter of invitation.
- If there have been previous business dealings between you and your partner company, proof of this should be submitted.
- A confirmed round trip or onward ticket as well as a confirmed means of accommodation while in Bosnia should also be provided.
