Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Eritrean Visa.


  • Passport valid for at least 6 months after return date.
  • One copy of duly completed visa application form which has been signed where necessary.

All foreign currencies in excess of $10,000 should be declared on entry into Eritrea.

Foreigners are required to declare all electronic items in their possession on entry into Eritrea. Failure to do so may result into confiscation of such items on departure. There is a $20 departure tax normally included in airline ticket prices.
