Basic Travel Requirements for South Africans visiting Faroe Islands

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Faroese Visa.


  • A completed Schengen visa application form  specifying that it is applicable only in Faroe Islands.
  • A valid passport with over three months of validity beyond the planned stay.
  • Two 2 x 2 cm passport sized photographs.
  • Valid identification documents such as the applicants national I.D card, birth certificate etc .
  • An authentic insurance document for the duration of stay.
  • Proof of financial support or stability.
  • A return ticket to South Africa.
