Basic Travel Requirements for South Africans visiting Monaco

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Monegasque Visa.


  • South African Passport which is valid for three months from the period of exit from the country is required. It must have at least one blank page for visa entry stamps.
  • Duly completed  and signed visa application form.
  • Two  recent passport photographs which follow the specification of a Monaco visa application.
  • Proof of financial sustenance for the duration of stay in the country.
  • Health Insurance that covers emergencies.
  • Proof of accommodation for duration of stay.
  • Your travel document and that of your companions should be submitted with your travel itinerary.
  • Return and onward ticket if necessary.
  •  If the applicant is a minor, parents/legal guardians will have to sign the visa application form and birth certificate for children younger than 12 is required.
  • Older passports that contain visa stickers or visa stamps.
  • Copies of bio-metric data in your passport. 
  • The application for this visa should be done at least 2 weeks and not more than 3 months to the trip date.
