Tourist visa
- Tourist visa is issued for the purpose of tourism, vacations, sight-seeing and leisure purposes
- This visa can be a single-entry visa or multiple-entry visa.
- The single-entry visa allows one entry while the multiple-entry visa allows an individual several entries into Algeria during the validity of the visa.
- A tourist visa is a short-stay visa and is valid for between 90 days(single-entry) to 180 days(multiple-entry).
- Accommodation reservation is required. The accommodation could be a hotel reservation or rented accommodation. Details of the accommodation should be provided.
- The CDC and WHO recommend the following vaccinations for Algeria: hepatitis A, hepatitis B, typhoid, cholera, yellow fever, rabies, meningitis, polio, measles, mumps and rubella (MMR), Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis), chickenpox, shingles, pneumonia, and influenza.
- If you have a host in Algeria, an invitation letter from the host is required. This letter should carry the address of the host and state the relationship between the host and the applicant.
- Applicants are to have a covering letter in which introduction of the applicant is made and reasons for the trip are stated.
- Visitors to Algeria are not allowed to leave the country with Algerian dinar.
- Upon entry into the country, individuals carrying more than 3,000 dinars or 1,000 euro would be required to declare them.

- Algerian tourist visa is issued for single and multiple entry purposes.
- The original invitation from the Algerian company that you are planning to visit is required. It must be duly attested by the Algerian chamber of commerce. You can courier the document directly to the embassy so that they are safely enclosed with the other documents.
- Bank statements for the previous six months is required. This would serve as proof of sufficient funds for the trip.
- A letter from the host company in Algeria stating the full name and address of the company, duration of the trip and sponsor of the trip.
- Employed individuals should have a letter from their employer showing that the employer is aware of the trip and approves of it. The letter should also state the applicant's position and salary at work.
- Return trip tickets must be provided. This will serve as proof that the applicant has the intention of returning to their home country at the expiration of the visa.
- Holders of this visa are not allowed to take up paid employment or receive payments for any service rendered while in the country.
- If you will be travelling for a conference, proof of pre-registration for the conference should be provided.
- Applicants with their own businesses are required to submit a copy of their business registration and tax clearance.
