Visa type details
Tourist visa
- Egypt issues a tourist visa to Sudanese for various short stay purposes.
- Individuals who want to travel for sight-seeing, tourism and leisure purposes can apply for this visa.
- If you want to visit families or friends residing in Egypt, you are also eligible for this visa.
- The Egyptian tourist visa is usually valid for a period of 90 days and allows for a single entry into the country. This means that when you leave Egypt, you cannot use the same visa to re-enter, you will have to apply for a new visa.
- A letter of invitation is required for those going to visit friends or relatives. The host in Egypt is required to write the invitation letter, stating the relationship between the applicant and host, duration of the trip and intended places of visit during the trip.
- Tourists are expected to register at a tour5ing company and submit a support letter from their travel agency.
- Proof that the applicant does not have HIV/AIDS is required. The proof should be a certificate of health issued by a renowned hospital.

- Students are required to have 29.316 or 23.523 EGP per month to cover their monthly expenses in Egypt.
- Most institutions provide their students with accommodation facilities. In case you will not be staying in these facilities provided, details of your accommodation for the duration of your study in Egypt should be provided.
- Your transcripts of previous degrees earned or results from previous schools attended should be submitted along with other required documents in order for the visa processing to be quicker.
- It generally takes 10 working days to process an Egyptian visa. However, it can take longer if the consul requires additional documents or if the information provided is found to be false.
