Basic Travel Requirements for Tanzanians visiting Turkey

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Turkish Visa.

  • Passport valid for at least three months from the intended date of exit from the country. The passport must have at least two blank pages for visa stamps.
  • A duly completed and signed visa application form.
  • Two recent passport-sized photographs with a white background. The photo should follow the specification for a visa application.
  • Bank statement from three months prior to the period of visa application. This is proof that the applicant is capable of taking care of him/her self while in Turkey.
  • Travel insurance which has sufficient medical coverage. 
  • The insurance should be valid for the duration of your stay in Turkey.
  • Proof of accommodation for the period you will be staying in Turkey.
  • Copy of return flight ticket.
  • Proof of civil status.

Turkey Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa is for business travelers and those who have the intention of meeting up with their business partners to develop and maintain working relationships in Turkey.
  • During any of the business meetings with your partners, you are allowed to sign and negotiate business contracts with your partners and partner companies.
  • You can attend business seminars, conferences, and trade fairs relating to your profession.
  • An official invitation letter from the inviting company in Turkey is to be provided. 
  • The letter should be printed on the company’s letterhead and signed by the authorized signatory of the company.
  • The letter from the inviting company must state the nature of the business to be carried out and the duration of the business visit.
  • The business letter must also state who will be taking responsibility for the applicant’s expenses in the country.
  • If you are employed, a letter from your employer printed on the company’s letterhead is required. 
  • The letter should introduce the applicant, state their job position, and salary level.
  • Proof of previous business relations between the inviting company and the sponsoring company should be provided if there have been any.
  • Holders of this visa are prohibited from being gainfully employed while they are in Turkey.
  • Proof of payment of visa application fee is required.

Turkey Medical Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Foreigners who are traveling to Turkey to seek or receive medical treatment that cannot be gotten in their home country are eligible for this visa.
  • Persons who want to accompany sick applicants for their medical treatment are also eligible for this visa.
  • A letter from the applicant’s doctor in Tanzania stating the nature of their illness is to be submitted.
  • An official letter from the receiving doctor or medical institution is required.
  • The letter should state confirmation from the medical institution that it can administer the specific treatment required by the applicant.
  • Any other correspondence between the local doctor and the doctor in Turkey should be provided.
  • Applicants who are not citizens of Tanzania should ensure that they submit a copy of their Tanzanian residence permit.
  • Original birth certificate copy carrying names of both parents is to be provided. 
  • If a minor is traveling with one or none of their parents, a notarized consent signed by both parents of the minor should be provided.
  • Proof that the applicant can afford the medical fees and any other extra costs that may arise while in the country is also to be provided.
  • If the applicant is being sponsored, the sponsor is to provide a letter stating so and their bank statements for the last 3 months.
  • Applicants are expected to abide by all the rules guiding this visa.
  • A document that shows that the applicant and the person accompanying them have the incentive of returning to Tanzania is required.

Turkey Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa is for foreigners who have the intention of studying in any of the academic institutions in Turkey.
  • A letter of acceptance from the institution the applicant has been accepted to study should be provided. 
  • The letter should state the course the applicant will be studying and the duration of the study.
  • Certificates and transcripts obtained from the schools previously attended by the applicant are to be provided also.
  • Minors applying for this visa are to ensure that they have the original copy of their birth certificate during the visa application process.
  • This visa can be extended to cover the duration of the applicant’s study program.
  • Proof that the applicant is able to pay the tuition fees and any other expenses that may arise is to be submitted also.
  • This can be in the form of bank statements or sponsorship/scholarship letters.
  • You can work part-time when school is in session and full-time when the school is on break.
  • Proof of payment of visa application fee is required.

Turkey Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa is for Tanzanians who want to visit Turkey for tourism purposes or to visit family and friends.
  • Applicants visiting a friend or relative in the country are to provide a letter of invitation from their host. 
  • The letter should contain the home address and telephone number of the host, as well as a valid means of identification of the host.
  • If the host is not a citizen, they are to provide their residence permit.
  • Applicants who are employed should provide a certificate of employment from their employer.
  • The certificate should include their job position, length of employment, and their salary level.
  • Minors applying for this visa should ensure that they are in possession of the original and a copy of their birth certificate.
  • They are also to provide a notarized consent signed by both parents of the minor.
  • Foreigners cannot take up paid or unpaid employment during their time in Turkey.
  • You can attend festivals and events that are of interest to you.
  • Non-Tanzanians should ensure that they possess a copy of their Tanzanian residence permit.

  • This visa is also for Tanzanians who want to transit through Turkey.
  • Foreigners can transit through Turkey to their destination country.
  • Traveling from Tanzania to Turkey and from Turkey back to Tanzania is not the same thing as transitting.
  • Applicants should ensure that they provide flight tickets to their destination country.
  • Visa and other entry permits of the destination country are to be provided.
  • If you are under the age of 18 years, the unabridged original copy of your birth certificate is required.
  • This visa cannot be extended.
  • You are required to leave the country on or before the expiration of this visa.
