Basic Travel Requirements for Thais visiting Bulgaria

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Bulgarian Visa.


  • A fully completed and signed Bulgarian visa application form.
  • A valid passport valid for a duration of six months beyond your intended date of arrival in Bulgaria.
  • Photocopies of the relevant pages of your passport.
  • Two recent-passport sized photographs, (3.5X4.5cm) in size and must show your full face.
  • Travel itinerary/flight ticket.
  • Proof of medical insurance valid for the entire duration of your stay in Bulgaria.
  • Proof of accommodation or hotel reservations.
  • A cover letter stating the purpose of your visit to Bulgaria.
  • Proof of sufficient financial means to cover your expenses in the country.
  • Certificate of police clearance stating that you have a clean criminal record in your home country.
  • Letter of invitation from a host in Bulgaria.
  • Copy of flight return ticket.
  • Proof of civil status.
