Basic Travel Requirements for Thais visiting Canada
Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Canadian Visa.
- A valid passport with six months validity period and blank pages for visa stickers.
- A completed and signed Canada visa application form.
- A document showing proof of paid Canada visa fees (Application processing fees and biometric fees).
- Passport photographs taken within the last 6 months and taken against a light-colored background is required.
- Proof of financial means to cover the stay period in Canada.
- Proof of return or onward ticket to show you will leave Canada when your visa expires.
- A photocopy of your Identity and Civil Status Documents should be attached to your visa application form. Your identity form can be your marriage certificate, birth certificate or national ID card.
- Police clearances to proof of good conduct in your home country.
- Medical examination by a panel physician to show you are in good health. However, a medical exam is not necessary if you plan to stay for less than six months.
- A cover letter that explains the purpose of your travel to Canada.
- Letter of invitation from a friend, relative or business partner in Canada.
- Minors traveling alone is required to submit a letter of authorization signed by both parents or a legal guardian.
- If the minor is traveling with one parent, a signed letter of authorization from the parent who is not traveling with them is required. The letter must include: The address and phone number of the parent not traveling and photocopy of the passport and national identity card of the parent not traveling.

Canada Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Canada’s tourist visa is a short-time visa issued to foreigners visiting Canada for sightseeing, tour or leisure.
- Thailand citizens who intend to visit a friend or a relative or go on vacation in Canada can apply for this visa.
- A complete and signed Canadian tourist visa application form is required.
- A recent passport photo not older than 6 months must be provided.

- A flight return ticket.
- A cover letter showing the traveler's personal details and the purpose of travel is required.
- Travel itinerary (proof of hotel reservation and travel ticket) after visa has been approved.
- Applicants most recent monthly bank statement is needed. The bank statement must show the applicant's name, account balance, the date the bank statement was issued and must show the bank stamp or seal.
- If the bank statements are printed online, it has to be stamped by the bank officials.

- Proof of accommodation in Canada.
- Employed applicants are expected to bring a letter from their employer. The letter should contain your employer's contact details, a note that a leave of absence has been granted to you, the purpose and duration of your trip and that you will be returning to your current job after the expiration of your tourist visa. The letter should be typed with your company’s letterhead.
- Self employed applicants are required to submit a business registration licenses.
- Retired applicants are required to show proof of their pension funds that will be able to cover their expenses while in Canada.

Canada Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- This is a visa issued to Thailand citizens visiting Canada for conferences, meetings, conventions or trade fairs.
- Applicants in Canada on a business visa are not allowed to take up paid employment.
- Canadian business visa is valid for a duration of six months and it holder can sign business deal, meet with business partner and attend exhibitions within this period.
- Applicants are required to have the necessary documents that support their business visa application.

- The business persons and business delegations visa is a temporary visa that gives business travelers in Canada a stay usually less than 6 months. - Proof of sufficient funds to cover the stay period in Canada is required.
- Foreigners on a business visa are not allowed to benefit from Canadian health coverage or apply for a Canadian document.
- Applicants are required to show proof of business dealings between the Canadian business partner and the Thai company.
- An invitation letter from a business partner in Canada is required. The letter must state the type of business transaction to be done while in Canada.

- Canada work visa or work permit is a visa issued to foreigners who intend to take paid employment in Canada.
- Thailand citizens who are skilled, educated or experienced and want to apply for a vacant job position in Canada can apply for this visa.
- A valid passport with a validity of more than 6 months from the planned date of arrival in Canada is required. The passport must have blank pages for visa entry and exit stamps.
- Two recent passport-sized photographs.
- Educational qualifications certificates.
- Proof of professional qualifications such as work experience.
- Proof of adequate financial resources to cover their expenses during their stay in Canada.
- Medical examination done in a registered hospital stating that the applicant is free from illness or any contagious disease.
- Proof of paid visa application form.
- Proof of accommodation in Canada.
- Before a Temporary Work Permit can be issued, the Canadian employer who wishes to hire a temporary foreign worker may need to apply for and be granted a positive Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) by ESDC.
- An offer of employment from a Canadian employer is usually required before the worker may be granted a Temporary Work Permit by the Department of Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC).
- The Canadian employer must receive government permission to hire outside Canada.

- Thailand citizens applying for Canada student visa must have been offered admission into a designated learning institution in Canada.
- A recently taken passport size photo and other necessary information to show proof of identity of the person accompanying the applicant. (if applicable).
- Applicants must have the following documents to obtain a study visa in Canada:
- A valid passport and other lawful travel documents required to study in Canada.
- Adequate financial resources to cover expenses charged by the educational institution and other personal expenses that may be incurred.
- Financial resources to cover return ticket after completion of the course of study in Canada.
- Medical certificate showing that the applicant is fit, in good health and free from any disease or illness.
- A valid police certificate showing that the applicant has a clean criminal record in his home country.
- A letter of acceptance from the Canadian educational institute with a valid designated learning institution (DLI) number is required.
- The Canadian student visa is valid for an additional 90 days after the expiry of your study program. Students who wish to extend their stay can do so.
- English language proficiency exam scores such as TOEFL or IELTS.
- You are required to submit an essay stating the purpose of your trip to Canada and why you have chosen the particular learning institution.
- Transcript, certificates or diploma of your earlier educational background.
- Proof of paid accommodation or hostel valid through your study year.
- Proof of paid student visa application fee.
