Basic Travel Requirements for Thais visiting Egypt

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Egyptian Visa.

  • A passport valid for at least 6 months from the intended arrival date and must have two blank pages for visa stamps.
  • Duly completed and signed Egyptian visa application form.
  • Two recent passport photographs taken against a white background and 2x2 inches in size is required.
  • A complete travel document.
  • Proof of financial capability to cover your duration of stay in Egypt.
  • Proof of accommodation.
  • Copy of return flight tickets.
  • A certificate of yellow fever vaccination.
  • A document stating the applicant's purpose and duration of visit in Egypt.
  • Copy of travel itinerary.
  • If the applicant is a minor, the parents/legal guardians have to sign the form.

Egypt Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The Egyptian tourist visa is a visa issued to foreigners who intend to visit Egypt for vacation, visitation, sightseeing or recreational purposes.
  • A Thai passport with at least three months validity remaining after departure from Egypt and two blank pages for visa stamps is required.
  • A completely filled and signed Egypt tourist visa application form.
  • Two recently taken passport photographs, 2x2 inches in size.
  • A bank statement collected from the bank not less than 14 days ago to show proof of financial status while in Egypt. The bank statement must show the bank name, stamp and authorized signature.
  • A medical travel insurance certificate that will be valid for the duration of your stay in Egypt.
  • Copy of hotel reservation voucher or proof of accommodation in Egypt.
  • Applicants who wish to stay with a friend or relative in Egypt are required to submit a cover letter showing the full information of the host, the relationship between them, the residential address and contact details of the host.
  • A copy of your flight reservation showing your entry and exit plans while visiting the country.
  • A letter written by your employer stating that you are a staff of the company to show proof of employment in your home country.
  • The letter should contain your current job position in the company and the number of days you will be absent from work.
  • Self-employed applicants are required to show their business certificate of incorporation and other business registration documents.
  • Marriage certificate or birth certificate to show proof of social ties to your home country.
  • An invitation letter from a friend or relative in Egypt.
  • Property documents such as Car ownership papers or landed property documents.
  • The currency restriction for entry and exit in Egypt Is less than 10,000 Euros,
  • No vaccination is required for a short stay visa in Egypt. 

Egypt Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Egypt's business visa is a visa issued to foreigners who want to visit Egypt for business purposes. 
  • Thailand citizens who intend to visit Egypt for business meetings, conferences, seminars or exhibitions can apply for this visa. 
  • A fully completed and signed Egypt business visa application form is required. 
  • A passport valid for a duration of six months beyond your exit date in Egypt is required. The passport must have two blank visa pages for visa stamps. 
  • Passport-sized photographs 45mm in height and 35mm wide and taken against an all-white background. 
  • A business introduction letter from a business partner in Egypt. The letter must be typed on the company's letterhead and must contain the type of business to be conducted in Egypt. 
  • Proof of flight arrangement showing your flight number and your entry and exit dates. 
  • A letter from the applicant employer in Thailand stating that he is aware of the applicant's business trip to Thailand. 
  • A certificate of yellow fever vaccination. 
  • Proof of paid visa application form

  • Bank statements to show proof of sufficient funds to cover your entire duration of stay in Egypt. 

Egypt Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The Egyptian student visa is a visa issued to foreigners who intend to stay in Egypt for the purpose of study.
  • Thailand citizens who want to study in an accredited learning institution or an internship in Egypt can apply for this visa.
  • A passport valid for six months and at least two blank pages for visa stamps.
  • A signed and duly completed Egyptian student visa application form is required.
  • Two recently taken passport photographs taken against a white background.
  • A travel medical insurance to cover illness or emergency cases that you may encounter while studying in Egypt.
  • A recent bank statement to show proof of financial status to cover expenses that may be incurred while studying in Egypt.
  • Sponsored applicants are required to submit their sponsor's bank statement with sworn affidavit of support.
  • Foreigners in Egypt on a student visa are not allowed to work with the visa.
  • Proof of return ticket or travel itinerary.
  • Proof of accommodation or hotel reservations in Egypt.
  • Admission letter from a higher institution in Egypt.
