Documents Thai applicants need to provide.
- A Thailand passport valid for at least 6 months from the intended arrival date and must have 2 blank pages for visa stamp.
- Duly completed and signed visa application form.
- If the applicant is a minor, the parents/legal guardians have to sign the form.
- Three passport-size photographs (4.5 x 3.5 cm) taken in white background.
- Travel document must be complete.
- Proof of financial capability in form of a recent bank statement.
- Proof of accommodation/hotel reservations.
- Copy of return flight ticket to show incentive of returning to Thailand.
- Documentation showing applicant’s ties to home country.
- A police report showing the traveler does not have a criminal record.
- Medical insurance to cover entire duration of stay.
- Documentation confirming the purpose of travel.
- Copy of travel itinerary.
Visa type details
Tourist visa
- The Mexicans tourist visa is issued to Thais traveling to Mexico for tourism and visitation purposes.
- This visa is valid for 180 days.
- An invitation letter is required from the applicant traveling for visitation purposes.
- Applicants traveling for tourism purposes should provide a tour package as proof.
- Currency restriction for entry into and exit out of Mexico is 10,000 USD.
- Proof of sufficient funds must be provided. This should come in form of a bank statement.
- A letter specifying the purpose of the trip and the dates of entry and departure is required.
- Proof of permanent residence in the country where the application is being made (Thailand) is required.
- If you are under the age of 18, the unabridged original copy of your birth certificate should be made available. Also, a letter of consent signed by both your parents is required if you will be traveling without your parents.
- A document which shows that you have the incentive of returning to your country at the expiry of your visa should be submitted during the visa application process, e.g., proof of family ties or a stable job in the applicant's home country.
- Travelers bringing in additional goods beyond their personal effects worth $75.00 or more must declare those goods with Mexican customs or risk having them confiscated.
- The Mexican government has declared the area around the Popocatepetl and the Colima volcanoes off limits.
Business visa
- The Mexico business visa allows Thais visit Mexico for business purposes.
- Thais on this visa can attend business meetings and conferences, sign and negotiate business contracts with partner companies while in the country.
- Applicants of this visa who intend to attend business conferences in the country are advised to register for the conference before they leave Thailand. The certificate of registration should be submitted with the other necessary documents required.
- A letter of invitation written on the company’s letterhead should be provided. The letter should state the duration and purpose of your visit to Mexico.
- A letter in Spanish from your company indicating that you are an employee and that the services you will provide in Mexico will be paid for by your company must be provided.
- If the travel expenses of the applicant will not be covered by the company, this should be expressly stated in the letter.
- The certificate of business registration of the inviting company in Mexico is required.
- Proof that you are an Indian resident must be provided. Non-citizens should provide a copy of their stay permit.
- Minors should ensure the original copy of their birth certificate is submitted with the other required documents. A letter of consent signed by both their parents is also required.
