Application requirements
Documents Thai applicants need to provide.
- A Thailand passport which will be valid 6 months after exiting from the country.
- Two passport-sized photographs taken with a white background. The photograph must be at least 3 months old from the time of application.
- Original bank statement for the last three months prior to the date of application for the visa.
- Valid travel insurance which has a coverage of €30,000 for medical insurance.
- Proof of accommodation for the duration of your stay in the country.
- Return flight ticket must be provided.
- Copy of travel itinerary showing dates, time, entry and exit to the country.
- A cover letter which explains the purpose of your visit to Poland.
- Proof of civil status, for example; your birth or marriage certificate.
Visa type details
Tourist visa
- The Polish visa is issued to Thais traveling to Poland for tourism or visitation purposes.
- Poland is a Schengen country so visitors can apply for a Schengen visa.
- This visa is valid for 90 days.
- Visitors traveling for visitation purposes are required to provide invitation letter.
- Travel medical insurance confirmation of minimum 30,000 € coverage within Poland and the entire Schengen area must be provided.
- Applicants are required to provide a cover letter stating the purpose of visit to Poland.
- Flight air ticket reservation with dates and flight numbers specifying entry and exit from Poland is also required.
- Proof of accommodation in form of a hotel booking reservation for the whole duration of the intended stay in Poland is required.
- Proof of sufficient financial means for the period of stay in Poland in form of bank statement must be provided.
- Applicants who are employed should bring the following:
- Employment contract.
- Current bank statement of the latest 6 months.
- No-objection certificate from employer.
- Poland is the center of vodka, even with that, it is illegal to drink in the streets. You can be fined heavily or deported.
- Make sure you are up-to-date on routine vaccines before your trip. These vaccines include measles-mumps-rubella (MMR) vaccine, diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis vaccine, varicella (chickenpox) vaccine, polio vaccine, and your yearly flu shot.
Business visa
- The Polish business visa is for Thais looking to travel to Poland for business purposes.
- You will need to provide a letter from the Poland company you will be visiting. This letter will also contain their detailed address, accompanied by the date and actual purpose of your trip.
- If the intention is to attend a meeting or seminar, confirmation/invitation from the conference organizer/institution is required.
- The invitation letter must also mention how the expenses of the applicant are going to be covered during his/her travel. It must be made clear whether it will be sponsored by the employer or the local company.
- In most cases, you will also need to submit a ‘no-objection’ letter. This letter is required to validate your current status and assure the embassy that your have permission to travel. A no-objection letter is typically obtained from your employer or school authorities.
- If you are employed, you will have to present a certificate from your employer stating or allowing your business travel.
- Your bank statement from the last 6 months is needed. Self-employed people will submit proof of business registration.
Student visa
- The Polish student visa is issued to Thais looking to study in Poland.
- Before this visa is issued, a letter of acceptance from the school offering the admission should be submitted.
- An enrollment certificate allowing attendance of courses in Poland is also required.
- Certificates and transcripts of applicant's previous schools should be submitted.
- You must provide a cover letter, stating why you chose to study in Poland.
- Healthcare in Poland is not free for foreigners. It is important for students to have health insurance that comes to at least 30,000 euros.
- Students are required to carry enough funds that'd ensure they can comfortably spend 20 euros per day.
- When you receive your student visa you will be issued a temporary residence card. The first residence permit is issued for a period of 15 months. It can be renewed afterwards for periods of up to 3 years.
- If you don't have enough means to fund yourself while in Poland, you can support yourself financially through scholarships and funding programs.
- Part-time jobs and, in some cases, student loans are also available to foreigners.
Transit visa
- Thais intending to make short stops in Poland can do so with the transit visa.
- This visa allows Thais to alight from a flight in a Polish airport and board another flight going to their destination.
- Flight ticket of your destination country should be presented during visa application.
- The visa of your destination country must be provided.
- If you are under the age of 18 years, the unabridged original copy of your birth certificate should be provided.
- Only travelers with a clean criminal record will be issued this visa.
- The visa is valid for 5 days.
- You are required to exit the country before the expiry of your visa.
- The transit visa cannot be extended.
