Japan Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
The tourist visa allows foreigners to visit Japan for the purpose of sightseeing, relaxation and recreation purposes. The tourist visa can also be referred to as a short term visa. The tourist visa is usually a single entry visa. A passport with a validity of six months from the date of departure. A completed and signed visa application form should be submitted. One passport photograph should be submitted by the applicant. Togolese travelling with the intention of visiting family and relatives can do so on this visa. Foreigners who intend to visit friends and relatives in the country should provide an official letter of invitation from their host. The letter should contain the home address and telephone number of the host. The letter should be sent to the applicant and forwarded to the embassy by the applicant. If your host will be responsible for your expenses during your stay in Japan, a certificate of income or taxation from your host should be provided. Your host's certificate of residence is also required. You are required to provide a letter from your employer stating the awareness and allowance of your leave. The duration of your leave and your job position should be clearly stated in the letter provided. If your host in Japan is a foreign national, a copy of both sides of the valid residence card, a certificate of residence, and a copy of his/her passport (including the pages of status items, records of entry/departure and permission of residence). Applicants of this visa are not permitted to receive payments for the services they render during their time in the country. Proof of hotel reservation or accommodation by the applicant should be submitted. Proof of financial sufficiency that covers the applicants' duration of stay. You are required to present a document to prove kinship with your host in the country. The documents to be presented may include birth certificate, marriage certificate, certified copy of family register, photos, letters, e-mails etc. If you are under the age of 18 years, the original copy of your birth certificate is required. Japan Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements
This visa is for Togolese visiting Japan to meet up with their partners to maintain business relationships in the country. It is also classified as a short-stay visa. You can negotiate and sign business contracts with your partners in the country. During your time in the country, you can attend conferences, trade fairs and business summits. A letter from your employer in Togo should be provided. Your position in the company, duration and purpose of your visit should be stated in the letter. The company you are meeting up with in the country should provide a letter of invitation. If the company is going to be in charge of your expenses during your stay in the country, it should be stated in the letter. Certificate of business registration of the company you are meeting up within Japan is mandatory. If your expenses are to be handled by the host company, it should be expressly stated in the letter. Income tax return of your parent company for the past six months should be submitted. A copy of previous business transactions should be submitted. You are not allowed to take up work with this visa. If you are under the age of 18 years, the original copy of your birth certificate should be provided. Travel itinerary of the applicant should be submitted. There is no extension to this visa. You are required to leave the country as soon as your visa expires. Travellers are advised to be vaccinated against hepatitis B, polio and tetanus. All applicants are to appear in person for their visa application interview.
Japan Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements
The visa is issued to Togolese with the intention of studying in Japan. Applicants valid passport that has a validity of six months from the proposed date of travel should be submitted. This visa is granted to Togolese who intend to travel to Japan in order to study as a regular student in state educational establishments o individuals recognized by the latter. A letter of acceptance from the institution which you have been offered admission should be submitted. The letter should state the course you have been offered and the duration of the study is required. Proof of part or full payment of tuition fee should be submitted. Applicants certificate and relevant educational qualifications should be submitted. The certificate has to confirm that you are free from any contagious diseases/ illnesses before travelling to Japan. This is just a regular medical check (done with blood and urine samples, no x-rays) to ensure you have no contagious diseases. Applicants under the age of 18 years are to provide the unabridged original copy of their birth certificate. If you are travelling with one or none of your parents, a notarized consent signed by both your parents is required. International students are allowed to work part-time when school is in session and full-time when on break. Proof of paid visa application fee should be submitted by the applicant. Applicants are required to have a document which proves that they have the incentive of returning to your country at the expiry of your visa.
Japan Official Visa Eligibility & Requirements
The official visa of Japan is issued to foreigners who intend visiting Japan for official purposes. An official letter of invitation from the Japanese government should be provided. If the letter is signed by any other organization which is not part of the government, then the visit will not be defined as official. If the applicant is holding an ordinary passport, the type of visa that will be issued cannot be diplomatic or official. As a Togolese diplomat, if the purpose of your visit to Japan cannot be defined as official, you will not be issued this visa. A diplomatic note from the Togolese government should be provided. The note should clearly state information about the purpose of your visit, the duration of your visit and your status in the government. If you are travelling with a minor, you are required to possess the original copy of the minor’s birth certificate and a letter of consent from both parents Only the single-entry official visa will be issued to applicants.
