Basic Travel Requirements for Tunisians visiting Canada

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Canadian Visa.


  • An original and copy of applicant's Tunisia passport.
  • The passport will need to be valid for at least six months beyond the date of return and
  • The passport must have at least two blank pages for Canadian visa stamp.
  • Two colour photographs taken against a white background and displaying a neutral expression is required
  • Receipt showing proof of visa application fee.
  • Proof of sufficient funds for the duration of the trip (i.e. three months bank statements, payslips, proof of investments etc.).
  • Proof of ties to Tunisia (i.e. employment letter, property certificates, proof of businesses or assets etc.).
  • Copy of provisional flight booking and travel itinerary (i.e. accommodation reservations).
  • Applicants are also required to provide a medical history or proof of good health.
  • Previous passports showing travel history.
  • Additional documents to support your application (i.e. marriage certificates, invitation letters etc.).
  • Minors (under 18) travelling alone will need a letter of authorisation signed by both parents or legal guardians. For minors travelling with one parent, a letter of authorisation from the non-accompanying parent or legal guardian is required.
  • If the applicant is visiting family or travelling for business, the applicant will need an invitation letter detailing the nature of the visit, length of stay, details of the host person or business etc.

Canada Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The Canada tourist visa allows foreigners to go to Canada for purposes such as tourism or holidays in Canada and visiting friends or family.
  • Canada Tourist Visa Application Form that is completely filled and signed.
  • Two recent passport photo taken within at least three months displaying a neutral expression.
  • Bank or other financial statements to prove the applicant has enough funds for the trip to Canada.
  • A travel itinerary showing details of what applicant plans to do in Canada, entry and exit date.
  • A letter of invitation from family or friends in Canada clearly stating the relationship with the applicant, purpose, and duration of the trip to Canada.
  • All the documents provided in another language other than English or French should be translated.

  • Return travel ticket showing proof that applicant stay in Canada is temporary and will return to the home country once the visit is over.
  • Holders of tourist visas must not work or study in Canada.
  • The application fee for a tourist visa is CAD$100.

Canada Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The Canadian business visa allows those who want to go to Canada with the purposes of doing business with a Canadian company to enter the country and engage in business activities.
  • Applicants can participate in activities such as attending meetings, participating in conferences or workshops, signing contracts, etc.
  • Applicants must have a business in Tunisia or be an employee of a business registered in Tunisia to obtain a business visa.
  • Proof that the applicant is developing a business relationship with a company in Canada or that applicant has been invited for a meeting, conference, or workshop.
  • Complete travel itinerary showing exit and entry dates.
  • A letter of invitation from the company in Canada stating the kind of business to conducted and the duration of the visit. 
  • A letter from the applicant's employer stating the job title, salary, and reason why the applicant is visiting Canada.
  • Registration documents from the Canadian company are required.
  • All documents must be in English or in French and if they have been translated, the applicant must provide a certification that the translation is correct.
