Basic Travel Requirements for Tunisians visiting Chad

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Chadian Visa.

  • Chad visa application form should be completely filled and signed by the applicant.
  • Original, signed Tunisian passport with at least 6 months of remaining validity. 
  • Passport must have 2 side-by-side blank pages for the Chad visa stamp.
  • 3 recent passport photos, with a white background, taken within the last 6 months. 
  • Copy of round trip tickets or detailed itinerary for the duration of the trip bearing the applicant's name is required.

Chad Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • A tourist visa is issued to foreigners travelling to Chad for the purpose of leisure and tourism.
  • Holders of the tourist visa can also get involved in recreational activities, sightseeing, and relaxation in Chad.
  • Completely filled and signed Chad visa application form.
  • A signed original Tunisia passport that is valid for at least 6 months beyond stay in Chad.
  • The passport must have 2 blank pages for the Chad visa stamp.

Chad Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • A business visa is issued to foreigners who have the intention of negotiation and signing of business contracts, involving in trade fairs, attending business conferences, and seminars, creating new business relationships in Chad.
  • Original, signed passport valid for 6 months beyond stay in Chad
  • The passport should have at least two blank visa pages available for visa stamp(s).
  • Amendment pages in the back of the passport are not suitable for visa stamps.
  • One signed Chad visa application form.
  • One recent 2 x 2 passport type photograph in colour, front view and with a plain/white background.
  • If there have been previous trade relations between both companies, proof of this is required.
  • Documents that show that the applicant has the incentive of returning to their home country should be provided.
  • A copy of the applicant's Tunisia residence permit is required if the applicant is not a citizen of Tunisia.
  • A business letter from either the sending company in Tunisia or sponsoring company in Chad. The letter should be printed on company letterhead stationery and addressed to the Embassy of Chad.
  • The letter should briefly introduce the applicant by specifying employment status/position held in the company by the applicant, the nature of the business to be conducted (ie. business meetings, contract negotiations, etc.), the names and addresses of companies to be contacted in Chad.
  • The business letter must state if the host in Chat will be financially responsible for the applicant during the duration of the required stay in Chad.
  • A letter from the applicant’s employer in Tunisia is required. The letter must state the job position, salary level, and length of the applicant’s employment.
  • Guarantee of sufficient funds for the travel.
  • Computer-generated flight itinerary from the airline or travel agency or copy of airline tickets.
