Basic Travel Requirements for Tunisians visiting DR Congo

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Congolese Visa.

  • Fully completed and signed Congo visa application form.
  • Leaving any portions of the visa application blank will result in the delay of your visa approval process.
  • Passport photos must be 2 inches×2 inches, colored, have a white background, and show a full front view of the face. 
  • These photos must have been taken within the last 6 months to reflect the applicant’s current appearance.
  • Tunisia passport that is valid for  6 months after an intended stay in Congo.
  • A copy of confirmed airline ticket showing arrival and departure dates in the Republic of Congo is mandatory.
  • An International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever is required.
  • Recent bank statement showing proof of sufficient funds for the whole duration of stay in Congo.
  • Proof of accommodation/confirmed hotel reservation is required.

Dr Congo Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • One Democratic Republic of Congo visa application form that is completely filled and signed by the applicant.
  • One recent passport photograph taken against a white background.
  • An invitation letter from the host in DR Congo must be notarized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  • The invitation letter must indicate the relationship between the host and the applicant, purpose of visit and duration of stay in DR Congo.
  • Applicants are required to provide a copy of the certificate against Yellow fever.
  • Original passport with 6 months validity beyond stay in DR Congo.
  • Passport must have at least one blank visa page for the DR Congo visa.
  • One copy of the flight itinerary showing entry and exit date.
  •  Letter of invitation from friend, family or tour organization in DR Congo stating the nature of the trip, the name and address of the host to be visited in the Republic of Congo. 
  • It is important to note that for parents traveling with their children or legal guardians traveling with their dependents, proof of parenthood or legal custody such as court order or birth certificate of the child may be required before a visa can be issued.
  • Anyone planning on traveling with the minor should submit a photocopy of a valid passport.

Dr Congo Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • One completed and signed the Democratic Republic of Congo Visa application.
  • One passport-type photo taken within the last three months.
  • Invitation from the host must be notarized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in DR Congo.
  • One copy of proof of vaccination against yellow fever
  • Tunisia passport with 6 months validity beyond stay in DR Congo.
  • Passport should have one blank visa page for the entry stamp.
  • A typewritten and notarized business letter on company letterhead stating the nature of the business to be conducted, the name and address of a reference to be contacted in the Republic of Congo. 
  • The invitation letter must be addressed to the Embassy of the Republic of Congo. 
  • No business visa will be granted without an official business letter and please be aware that the business invitation letter should be at least 3 months valid.
  • All required business visa documents must be stamped by the local Department of Immigration.
  • Letter from employer or sponsoring company in Tunisia, on company letterhead, introducing the applicant, indicating the applicant's employment status/position held in the company, and clearly stating the purpose of visit to DR Congo. 
  • The business letter must also indicate who will be financially responsible for the applicant and must provide detailed contact information in DR Congo.
  • Computer-generated flight itinerary from the airline or travel agency or copy of airline tickets showing departure date from the Republic of the Congo.
