Basic Travel Requirements for Tunisians visiting Egypt

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Egyptian Visa.

  • A completely filled and signed Egypt visa application form.
  • Tunisia passport that is valid for 6 months beyond stay in Egypt.
  • The passport must also have 2 blank pages for the visa stamp.
  • Two identical 2x2 colored passport-sized photographs taken on a white background.
  • A well-detailed travel itinerary that covers the details of travel and entry into and exit from Egypt.
  • Flight reservations and return tickets are needed.
  • Applicants will need to show proof of residency status in Tunisia. 
  • For students, this proof should be a letter from the applicant's school, or a letter from an employer if employed or business documents for self-employed Tunisians.
  • Proof of retirement funds is required for retired visa applicants.
  • Proof of accommodation which could be a hotel booking or an invitation letter from the host in Egypt confirming that the applicant will be provided accommodation.
  • A valid means of identification from the host is also required.

Egypt Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The business visa is granted to visitors traveling to Egypt for business purposes such as attending business seminars, conferences and signing contracts with other business partners in Egypt.
  • Applicants are to submit a business cover letter from the Egyptian based company.
  • All letters are to be printed on the company's letterhead and must display an Egyptian address.
  • A travel itinerary that displays the round trip, entry and exit dates to and from Egypt and must show the full name (as printed in the applicant's passport).
  • Applicants are to also submit a letter written by the employer in Tunisia on company letterhead stating that the applicant will be returning to the present job, awareness of business leave and confirming good moral behaviours of the applicant.
  • Applicants are to submit an official invitation letter from the Egyptian company stating the purpose and duration of your visit to Egypt.
  • The letter must also indicate the nature of the business to be conducted in Egypt.
  • Proof of financial sufficiency that covers the applicant's duration of stay should be submitted.
  • If your finances will be taken care of by the employer or the host company, it should be clearly stated in the letter of invitation.
  • Proof of previous business dealings between the Tunisian company and the Egyptian company should be submitted.
  • Proof of registration and receipt of paid fees for the registration of the conference should be made available for those who intend to attend conferences in Egypt.
  • A certificate of business registration of the company the applicant will be visiting in Egypt should be provided.
  • Applicants who own their own businesses should provide a copy of their income tax return of the last six months.
  • Receipt of payment of visa application fees is to be submitted also.
  • International Certificate of Vaccination of Yellow Fever should be provided by the applicant.
  • Applicants are advised not to make the non-refundable expenses until their visa application is granted.
  • Applicants are to leave Egypt at the expiration of the visa.

Egypt Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The tourist visa is issued to foreigners traveling to Egypt for tourism, sightseeing, leisure and family and friends visitation.
  • Holders of this visa cannot take up any form of employment and are not to receive payment for any service rendered while in the country.
  • Applicants can not attend seminars, conferences, take up a study or an internship in Egypt with a tourist visa.
  • A letter of invitation from the host ( family, friend or tour organization) in Egypt is to be submitted.
  • The letter should contain information which includes the host’s home address, telephone number, and a valid means of identification.
  • Retired persons should possess a pension statement or documents showing other financial support from the last 6 months.
  • For non-Tunisian applicants of this visa, a copy of their residence permit in Tunisia is to be submitted.
  • Minors traveling without their parents or with one of their parents are required to have a copy of a letter of consent signed by both parents. 
  • The original copy of their birth certificate should also be submitted.
  • Applicants are to present a document that shows the intention of returning to Tunisia at the expiration of the visa.
  • Applicants are advised to be immunized against Malaria, Typhoid, and Hepatitis A and B and tender a certificate of vaccination to the consulate.
  • Proof of payment of visa application fee is also to be submitted.
  • Proof of accommodation or hotel reservation is required.
  • Travel itinerary showing entry and exit dates from Egypt is required.
  • Travel insurance that covers the entire duration of stay in Egypt is also to be submitted.
