There i currently no Embassy of El Salvador in Tunisia. Applicants are required to apply at the Embassy in the neighboring country of Tunisia.
Spanish is the official language of El Salvador and it is spoken by the majority of the country's population. The Spanish spoken in the country is often referred to as Salvadoran Spanish and the local Spanish tongue is referred to as Caliche.
The most common travel ailments in El Salvador are diarrhea and food-born stomach upset. To stay healthy, be sure to drink only bottled water and ice you know to be purified, and stick to established restaurants. Dengue fever, known as "broken bones disease," is also on the rise in El Salvador.
Generally, the Salvadoran public healthcare facilities – especially hospitals – are under-staffed and poorly equipped and many appear to have flaws in respect of inequalities, with access to better quality health services being directly linked to income levels.
