Basic Travel Requirements for Tunisians visiting Guatemala

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Guatemalan Visa.

  • Passport with a validity of at least 6 months from the intended date of exiting Guatemala.
  • The passport should have two blank pages for visa stamps
  • Duly completed visa application form which has been appropriately signed by the applicant.
  • Two recent passport-sized photographs taken with a white background. The photograph should follow the specification of a visa application.

Guatemala Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Foreigners applying for this visa have the intention of traveling to Guatemala for sightseeing, relaxation, and recreation.
  • Foreigners can also visit friends and family members living in Guatemala.
  • An invitation letter of invitation from the host (family member, friend or tour organization) is required.
  • The letter should also indicate the duration of stay and contact information of the host in Guatemala.
  • The letter should clearly state the relationship between the applicant and the host.
  • Applicants should submit a copy of their Tunisian stay permit if they are not citizens of Tunisia.
  • If you are under the age of 18 years and you are traveling alone or with one of your parents, a notarized consent signed by both your parents is required.
  • Applicants are required to submit a copy of the birth certificate.
  • Proof of the incentive of returning to Tunisia, such as a valid return ticket, after the expiry of the visa is required.
  • A receipt which shows that payment has been made for visa application.
  • Foreigners are prohibited from taking up work or study courses in Guatemala.
  • A copy of the International Certificate of Vaccination for yellow fever is required.

Guatemala Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The business visa allows foreigners visiting for business activities such as conferences, trade fairs, and business summits, negotiating and signing of business contracts in Guatemala without restrictions.
  • A letter from the applicant’s employer confirming awareness and allowance of business leave is required. 
  • The letter should also state the activities to be carried out by the applicant and the duration of the applicant’s visit.
  • The letter must also indicate who will be financially responsible for the applicant and must provide detailed contact information in Guatemala.
  • An official letter of invitation from the inviting company on the company’s letterhead stating the nature of the business to be carried should be provided.
  • The Certificate of Business Registration and the Income Tax Return of the host company is required.
  • If there has been any previous dealing between the applicant and the host company in Guatemala, proof of this should be submitted.
  • A receipt indicating that payment has been made for visa application.
  • Documents which show that you have the incentive of returning to Tunisia after the visa expires is required.
  • Tunisians are advised to be immunized against yellow fever before traveling to Guatemala.
