Basic Travel Requirements for Tunisians visiting India

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Indian Visa.


  • Original Tunisia passport with a validity of more than 6 months from the intended period of exiting the country. 
  • The passport should have at least two blank pages for visa or entry stamp.
  • Correctly filled visa application form duly signed by the applicant.
  • Two recent passport-sized photographs with a white background. The photo should follow the specification for a visa application.
  • Original copy of bank statement from the past three months prior to the period of visa application. 
  • Travel insurance which has sufficient medical coverage. The insurance should be valid for the duration of the stay in India.
  • Proof of accommodation for the period of stay India.
  • Copy of return flight ticket to Tunisia is required.
  • Travel itinerary showing travel details including entry and exit dates from India.

Can I extend my Indian tourist visa?

Regardless of the duration of the valid visa, the maximum duration of stay in India is limited to 6 months (180 days) on each visit. Extension of stay is not granted on tourist visas and it can not be converted into any other visa.
