Basic Travel Requirements for Tunisians visiting Mexico

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Mexican Visa.

  • Original Tunisian passport that is valid for at least 6 months beyond stay in Mexico is required.
  • Passport must have at least one blank page for entry/visa stamp. 
  • A duly completed and signed Mexico visa application form.
  • The parents or legal guardians are required to sign the visa application form if the applicant is a minor.
  • Three recent passport photographs taken against a white background is required.
  • Travel document must be completely provided.
  • Proof of financial capability or bank statement showing proof of sufficient funds for the whole duration of stay in Mexico.
  • Proof of accommodation or hotel reservations for the entire stay is required.
  • A copy of return flight ticket to Tunisia is required.
  • Documentation showing applicant’s ties to Tunisia should be provided.
  • A police report showing that the applicant does not have a criminal record in Tunisia. The police report must be valid for at least 3 months before dates if travel and must be issued by the Police Department in Tunisia.
  • Medical insurance that covers the duration of stay.
  • Documentation confirming the purpose of travel.
  • A copy of travel itinerary showing travel details, entry and exit dates from Mexico. Applicants are to provide a receipt showing that the visa application fee has been fully paid.

Mexico Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The Mexican tourist visa allows foreigners to visit Mexico for the purpose of sight-seeing, relaxation, and recreation.
  • Applicants with the tourist visa can also visit relatives and friend that are living in Mexico.
  • Applicants passport must be valid for at least three months beyond the intended period of stay.
  • An invitation letter from the host in Mexico is required.
  • The letter should state the relationship with the applicant, duration of stay, the purpose of travel, home address and contact information of the host.
  • The host in Mexico can either be a family member, friend, or tour organization in Mexico.
  • Bank statements of the last 3 months showing that the applicant as sufficient funds for the whole duration of stay in Mexico.
  • A copy of the round-trip or tour ticket is required.
  • Applicants who are under or 18 years old are to provide an original copy of their birth certificate. A consent letter from both parents should also be provided by the minor if they will be travelling without their parents.
  • A valid document such as proof of family ties or a stable job in Tunisia showing that the applicant has the incentive of returning to Tunisia at the expiry of the tourist visa should be submitted during the visa application process, proof of family ties or a stable job in the applicant's home country.
  • Evidence that the visa application fee has been paid is required.
  • Tunisians are not allowed to take up employment or study during their time in Mexico.
  • Applicants are advised to be vaccinated against yellow fever and malaria before travelling to Mexico.
  • Applicants must not overstay the required stay of the tourist visa or they will be fined or banned from entering Mexico.
  • Applicants seeking extensions for their visas are to apply for it 30 days before the expiry date. 

Mexico Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The Mexico business visa is issued to foreigners visiting Mexico for business purposes.
  • Foreigners with a business visa can attend business meetings and conferences, sign and negotiate business contracts with other business partner or companies while in Mexico.
  • A letter of invitation from the host company in Mexico written on the company’s letterhead should be provided.
  • The letter should state the duration and purpose of the applicant's visit to Mexico.
  • A letter in Spanish from the Tunisian company indicating that the employer is aware of the business leave to Mexico is required.
  • If the applicant will be financially sponsored by either the sending company or inviting company, it should be clearly stated in the required letters.
  • The certificate of business registration of the inviting company in Mexico is required.
  • Non-Tunisians should provide a copy of the Tunisian residency permit.
  • Minors should ensure the original copy of their birth certificate is submitted with the other required documents. A letter of consent signed by both parents is also required.
  • Applicants are required to leave Mexico at the expiration of the business visa.
  • Bank statements of the last three months are required.
