Basic Travel Requirements for Tunisians visiting Romania

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Romanian Visa.


  • A completely filled and signed visa application form.
  • An original Tunisia passport valid for at least 6 months beyond stay in Romania.
  • The passport should have at least 2 blank pages for the Romania visa stamp.
  • Amendments pages of the passport will not be used for visa stamp.
  • A passport with less sufficient pages is required to be renewed.
  • 2 recent passport photograph taken against a white background displaying a neutral expression is required.
  • Travel itinerary showing travel details including dates of entry and exit from Romania.
  • An invitation letter from the host (a family member, friend, tour organization or host company/organization) in Romania is required.
  • A copy of the certificate of vaccination against yellow fever vaccination is required from applicants coming from infected areas.
  • Receipt showing proof that the visa application fee has been paid is required.
  • Proof of accommodation/hotel reservations for the whole duration of stay in Romania is required.
  • A copy of the original bank statement of the last three months showing proof of sufficient funds for the entire duration of stay is required.
  • A copy of return travel tickets to Tunisia is required.
  • An issued police report from the local police department in Tunisia showing that the applicant has no history of criminal activities in Tunisia.
  • Applicants are not required to overstay the required duration of stay in Romania.
  • Applicants who wish to extend visa should submit an application at the office of the Ministry of Foreign affairs in Romania.
  • Minors are required to submit an original copy of the birth certificate and a signed consent note from both parents/legal guardians
