Savanna Wildlife Safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park: The Queen Elizabeth national park is the most popular tourist destination in Uganda. It has a protected area filled with forests, lakes, grasslands, wetlands and amazing wildlife. It is located at the western side of Uganda containing animals such as giraffes, lions, elephants, hippopotamus, antelopes, and zebras. You can also visit lakes where you can enjoy cruises and see Nile crocodiles.
Hike from Kisoro to Nkutingo and Buhoma: There are many hiking opportunities in the area given the fascinating scenery. The most popular hiking trail is between Buhoma and Kisoro and you can also go gorilla trekking.
Visit Murchison Falls: It is an attraction located in the Murchison Falls National Park. It is home to leopards, hippos, birds, lions, giraffes, and chimpanzees. The falls is a spectacle with water crashing through the gorge. Because of the spray of water, rainbows can be seen over the falls and it's an amazing sight.
Gorilla Watching in Bwindi National Park: The mountain gorilla tour is another reason to visit Uganda. The mountain gorillas are found only in this region and are perfectly adapted to the weather with thicker fur. They are led by the most powerful silver back and comprise females and younger males. They are also located in the point where the African continent is slowly splitting apart revealing the beautiful lake. The landscape is sometimes compared with that of Switzerland.
Uganda has an abundance of butterflies. It has 6.8% of the world's butterfly species and it also has one if the world's smallest churches on top of Biku hills in Nebbi town. The name of the church is the Bethel church established by Korean pastor Sung and Henry Luke, a retired Archbishop in Uganda.
