Basic Travel Requirements for Ugandans visiting Morocco

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Moroccan Visa.

  • An Ugandan passport valid for at least 6 months from the intended arrival date and must have 2 blank pages for visa stamp.
  • Duly completed and signed visa application form.
  • If the applicant is a minor, the parents/legal guardians have to sign the form.

Morocco Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The Moroccan tourist visa is eligible for Ugandans traveling to Morocco for visitation and tourism purposes. 
  • A tourist visa is issued for a period of up to 90 days. In case a tourist wants to stay for more than 90 days in Morocco, he or she will require a resident permit to do so.
  • They must also make a request for an extended stay at the nearest Police Precinct to their place of residence in Morocco.
  •  If you remain in Morocco beyond 90 days without having requested an extension of stay, you will need to appear before a judge prior to departing Morocco.
  • Foreigners who are traveling with pets are required to present a health certificate of fewer than 10 days and an anti-rabies certificate less than six months old.
  • It is illegal to take more than MAD100 of local currency out of Morocco.
  • Travelers are not allowed to exchange Moroccan Dirham outside the country's borders, so plan your currency exchange transactions beforehand.
  • Travelers are required to provide a formal statement of your financial situation from your bank that is less than 4 weeks old.
  • Travelers must provide proof of having obtained travel insurance that covers the entire period of your trip to Morocco.
  • Apply for a tourist visa at least 6 weeks in advance of your planned travel date so that there is enough time for the application procedure to be completed on time.
  • Joggers should be mindful of traffic and remain in more heavily populated areas. It is always best to have a jogging companion.
  • Taxis in Morocco are generally crime-free during day time, although city buses are not considered safe.
  • Crimes of fraud, including passing bad checks, non-payment of bills (including hotel bills), or breach of contract are considered serious in Morocco and can often result in imprisonment and/or fines.

  • The Moroccan business visa is for the business-minded people traveling to Morocco.
  • These people aim to develop a good working relationship in Morocco.
  • You are allowed to have business meetings with partners and also sign business contracts.
  • Applicants are also allowed to attend business meetings, conferences, and trade fairs during your stay in the country.
  • A letter of invitation from your business partner in Morocco stating the purpose of your visit and financial sponsorship intent is required.
  • The letter should contain the address of the company and should be submitted along with copies of their tax certificates.
  • Holders of this visa type are not allowed to take up paid employment during their time in the country.
  • A valid medical insurance is required to cover entire duration of stay in Morocco.
