Basic Travel Requirements for Vietnameses visiting Canada
Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Canadian Visa.
- An international passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry and one page required for visa stamp.
- A fully completed and signed visa application form.
- If the applicant is a minor, the parents are to sign the application form.
- Two colored passport-size photographs (50 x 70cm) taken on a white background.
- Travel document must be completely provided.
- A document that serves as a proof of your financial capability.
- A proof of accommodation/hotel reservations during the duration of stay.
- A copy of return flight ticket is to be provided.
- A police report to prove you don’t have any criminal record.

Canada Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Canadian tourist visa is for sightseeing, vacation or tourist purposes.
- Canadian tourist visa allows applicants to attend conferences, educational, professional or business events whilst in the country with this visa type.
- Tourists can visit family and friends with this type of visa.
- A Canadian tourist visa is also known as Canada visitor visa or Canadian Temporary Resident Visa(TRV).
- Canadian tourist visas are of two types: single entry visa and multiple entry visa.

Canada Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Vietnamese citizens can study in any Canadian institution of learning with a study visa.
- You must have accepted into a Canadian university before initiating your application.
- As a Canadian student, you will have to obtain a Canadian study permit which would serve as a Canadian student visa for the duration of your stay.
- A study permit is a document issued by the Canadian immigration authorities that serves as permission for foreign students to study in Canada.
- The Canadian study permit can be renewed within Canada if you decide to continue your studies.
- Full-time foreign students registered at an accredited higher education institution with study permit are allowed to work part-time on campus.
- You may also be able to work off-campus, work as a co-op or intern as part of your program, stay in Canada as a permanent resident or seek employment after graduation.
- The Canadian study permit can be applied either online or through a paper application obtainable from the Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) website.
- Foreign students who intend to study in Canada are to provide a copy of their criminal record in the form of a police clearance certificate.
- Paper applications typically take about twice as long, and it’s always recommended to check the processing times well in advance.
- A proof of medical condition is to be provided during the application process. This is to prove you are in a good clean bill of health while you study for the duration of time.
- Applicants are to provide biometric fingerprints during the application process.
- Proficiency in the English language is a requirement. Most times accessed from your TOEFL or IELTS tests results.

Canada Work Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Foreigners applying for this type of visa can take up paid employment in Canada.
- Before you are granted this visa, you must show proof of being employed by a company in Canada.
- An employment letter from your employer in Canada would be requested. The letter must have the address of the company, the position you have been employed and the duration of your visit.
- The job offer you have been given must be approved by the Canadian government through the Labour Market Impact Analysis Process before you can be given a work visa.
- Working in Canada on a temporary basis requires you to have a work permit.
- Before one is granted a Temporary work permit, an offer of employment from a Canadian employer is usually required.
- The foreign worker's country of citizenship is considered, which means a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) may also be needed for entry.
- An intending Canadian employer who wishes to hire a temporary foreign worker may need to apply for and be granted a positive Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA)by ESDC.
- The ESDC will grant a positive LMIA if it is satisfied that no Canadian citizen or permanent resident is available to do the job.
- Work Permits may be issued by Canadian immigration officials without the LMIA requirement in a limited number of situations.
- A Temporary Work Permit may be issued for a period of time ranging from a few days to a few years.
- Intending employers are required to apply for government permission to hire outside Canada. Once this permission has been granted, the designated employee must apply for and receive his or her Work Permit.
- You must have a good command of the English language before applying for this visa.
- Minors must have a letter of consent signed by both their parents.
- Receipt of paid visa application fees should be presented.
Canada Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Canada business visa allows you to stay in Canada and engage in business activities.
- Holders of a Canadian business visa are not allowed to be employed in Canadian labour market.
- A police report showing you have no criminal record is to be provided.
- Vietnamese citizens with a business visa can also attend business meetings and conferences.
- A letter of invitation from the Canadian host business is required.
- Other documents such as warranty or service agreements, or contracts, if relevant to your visit is needed.
- A passport valid beyond your intended stay is required too.
