Basic Travel Requirements for Vietnameses visiting Canada

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Canadian Visa.


  • An international passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry and one page required for visa stamp. 
  • A fully completed and signed visa application form.
  • If the applicant is a minor, the parents are to sign the application form. 
  • Two colored passport-size photographs (50 x 70cm) taken on a white background.
  • Travel document must be completely provided.
  • A document that serves as a proof of your financial capability. 
  • A proof of accommodation/hotel reservations during the duration of stay. 
  • A copy of return flight ticket is to be provided.
  • A police report to prove you don’t have any criminal record.
  • Medical insurance that covers the duration of stay.
  • The documents showing the applicant's purpose of travel.  
  • A copy of travel itinerary showing exit and entry dates. 
  • A proof  of  paid visa application fee.
  • A document that proves that you will return back to your home country.
  • Identity and civil status documents.
