Basic Travel Requirements for Vietnameses visiting Germany
Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a German Visa.
- A duly completed visa application form.
- A passport valid for 3 months after the intended date of exit from the country and should not be more than ten years old. The passport should have two blank pages for necessary stamps.
- Two passport photographs taken on a light background(36mm-45mm). The passport should not be older than 3 months old.
- Bank statements which are valid for at least three months prior to the period of your visa application to serve as proof that you can cater for yourself during your stay in the country.
- A valid travel insurance policy with a coverage of €30,000 for medical insurance.
- A proof of accommodation whether it is a hotel reservation or an accommodation with a host who resides in Germany.
- A copy of your return or onward ticket.
- A copy of travel itinerary with up-to-date exit and entry dates.
- Receipt of your visa application fee.
- A sponsorship letter is required which confirms that you are being financially supported.

- The German tourist visa is meant for tourism purposes.

- A passport valid for six months should be submitted along with previous copies.

- If your trip is sponsored, your host has to sign a Declaration of Commitment “Verpflichtungserklärung”. By signing this formal obligation letter, a relative, friend or business, who is a legal resident or registered legal entity in Germany, pledges to the Federal authorities to cover your entire livelihood, medical and return costs related to your duration of stay.
- Your employer has to issue a no-objection certificate to you which is to be provided during the visa processing.
Germany Work Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- A German work visa permits holders to legally work in Germany.
- Researchers with special technical knowledge and teaching personnel in prominent positions are also qualified to apply for this visa type.
- Your driver’s license and/or utility bill in your name as proof of residence in the territory of the consulate is required.
- A personal cover letter explaining your exact purpose and duration of stay in Germany is to be submitted
- You must have gained employment in a Germany company before initiating your application process.
- You are to present a letter from your employer in the country confirming that you have been offered a job. The location of the company, as well as your job description, should be clearly stated in the letter.
- The future employer will have to provide a proof that there was no German available to take a job before you were offered this job.
- An approval granted by the Federal Employment Agency is to be presented at the Embassy or consulate.
- Diplomas, Certificates, Mark-sheets or anything similar that proves your qualifications for the job offered is needed.
- Non-citizens who are applying for a work visa have to present a copy of their stay permit.
- Receipt of paid visa application fee should be provided.
- Your intention of returning to Guinea Bissau has to be proven.
- An employment contract / binding job offer with details of gross annual salary and a detailed description of the employment in Germany is to be provided.
- An employment permit is issued alongside with residence permit.
- You will have to submit a completed form called “Ausländer- beschäftigung” from your future employer.
- Undergraduates or those with a graduate degree, and have secured a job before you move to Germany with a salary of at least 52,000 EUR are eligible for a blue card. Blue card.

Germany Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The student visa allows foreign students to study or enroll any German institution.
- Applicants of this visa are also expecting to get a response on his/her University Application in a University in Germany,
- Students who have enrolled in a Foundation Course before applying in a German University or needs to take a Foundation Course (Studienkolleg) are to prepare for the test “Feststellungsprüfung” – qualification assessment examination.
- Those who intend to take up a Doctoral degree are eligible to apply for this visa type.
- With a student visa, you can engage in a research project in Germany.
- A letter of admission from the school you have been enrolled in must be provided
- Past certificates and transcripts of the schools you previously attended are necessary documents to be provided during the visa application process.
- If you are not a citizen of Guinea Bissau, a copy of your stay permit is required.
- Your proficiency in German language or that you intend to take up a language course in Germany has to be proven.
- Holders of this visa can work while studying as long as it does not affect their study and time they put into studying.
- The visa can be extended to the duration of your stay.
- Minors travelling to Germany need a letter of consent signed both their parents.
- If you intend to remain in Germany for more than 90 days, or 3 months you are expected to obtain also get a Residence Permit early enough after your arrival in Germany.a
Germany Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- A Germany business visa is a short stay visa which permits foreigners to visit to perform business activities, sign and negotiate contracts.
- Holders can also attend conferences, meetings, business summits, and trade fairs while in Germany.
- A letter of invitation from your partner in Germany is needed.
- The certificate of business registration of the company you are meeting up with is to be to presented among other documents during the application process.
- A letter from your employer stating the reason for your visit and how long you will be staying in the country is required.
- Any evidence of previous dealings with the company you are meeting with is to be submitted at the Embassy.
- An approved health insurance that covers the duration of your stay or its equivalent of 30,000 euros is needed.
- A proof of hotel reservation or accommodation during the duration of stay should be submitted.
- Private business owners have to provide a copy of their Income Tax Return(ITR) form or certificate of income tax deducted from salary.
- You will need to prove your civil status either with marriage certificate, birth certificate of children, death certificate of spouse.
- You are not permitted to study in any a German institution with this type of visa.
- Business travellers are not allowed to work under this visa.
- Overstaying on your German visa is not allowed.
