Basic Travel Requirements for Vietnameses visiting Germany

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a German Visa.


  • A duly completed visa application form. 
  • A passport valid for 3 months after the intended date of exit from the country and should not be more than ten years old. The passport should have two blank pages for necessary stamps.
  • Two passport photographs taken on a light background(36mm-45mm). The passport should not be older than 3 months old.
  • Bank statements which are valid for at least three months prior to the period of your visa application to serve as proof that you can cater for yourself during your stay in the country.
  • A valid travel insurance policy with a coverage of €30,000 for medical insurance.
  • A proof of accommodation whether it is a hotel reservation or an accommodation with a host who resides in Germany.
  • A copy of your return or onward ticket.
  • A copy of travel itinerary with up-to-date exit and entry dates. 
  • Receipt of your visa application fee.
  • A sponsorship letter is required which confirms that you are being financially supported.
