Switzerland Work Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • A swiss work visa is meant for foreigners who tend to work in any swiss company.
  • If you are going to stay in Switzerland for more than  90 days  you need a residence permit. 
  • The swiss residence permit has  three categories;
  • The Permit L is a short-term residence permit  that allows  its holders to stay in Switzerland for up to one year. The L permit  can be extended in exceptional cases for a further year but no more if you continue to work for the same employer.
  • The Permit B  is an initial or temporary residence permit is valid for one year. Its extension is annually, as long as there are no grounds for it not to be reissued, such as being a recipient of welfare benefits. ing for

  • You can only work in Switzerland  as a self-employed if you hold a settlement permit.
