Basic Travel Requirements for Vietnameses visiting United Kingdom
Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Briton Visa.
- A signed and completed United Kingdom visa application form.
- An international passport valid for at least 30 days after the expiry of your visa. The passport should have blank pages for stamps.
- A passport photograph taken with a white background.
- Proof of payment for the UK visa application fee.
- Documents reflecting the applicant's financial status such as a bank statement, payroll or a sponsor's finance commitment document(s).
- Confirmation of accommodation and flight bookings.
- A letter of invitation if you are being sponsored by a friend or family member.
- Original marriage certificate if you are traveling with your spouse.
- Birth certificates for minors (if they are traveling).
- Travel medical insurance that covers the entire duration of your stay.

United Kingdom Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The United Kingdom visitor visa is issued to those who plan to go into the country for purposes such as tourism, business, family visit, and other short-term purposes.
- The UK visitor visas are usually valid for 6 months. They can also be issued for longer periods such as 1, 2, 5, or 10 years in some cases.
- Note that you can only visit the UK on this visa for a maximum of 6 months at a time.

- The Family visitor visa is for individuals who want to visit family in the UK. Those in this category are required to have a family member in the UK that would sponsor them while they are there.
- The Family visitor visa would only be issued after an invitation letter from the host/sponsor has been provided, confirming their relationship with the applicant.
- A Marriage visitor visa is issued to those who want to visit their spouse in the UK. This is also given to those who want to get married in the country, register a civil partnership or give notice of their marriage in the UK.
- The Parent of a Tier 4 (Child) visa is given to parents who want to accompany their child to the United Kingdom while they attend school.
- The Parent of the Tier 4 (Child) visa costs £516.
- Applicants for the Parent of the Tier 4 (Child) visa must maintain a second home outside the UK and should prove their plans to go back home after their stay in the UK is over.
- The Short-Term study visa is for visitors who wish to take short courses of study in the UK. It is appropriate for those who do not want to extend their stay after 6 months.
- The Short-Term Study visa costs £516
- On this visa, those below the age of 18 are to make have a letter of permission from their guardian or parents to study in the UK for that period.
United Kingdom Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- This visa is issued to those who intend to study in the UK for a long period of time. This student visa is referred to as the Tier 4 student visa.
- There are two types of Tier 4 student visas:
- Tier 4 (Child) visa
- Tier 4 (Adult) visa
- The 4 (Child) visa is for applicants who are between the ages 0f 4 and 17. This allows them to study full time at a UK educational institution.
- Under this visa, students must have their parents' or guardians ' written consent for their travel.
- The Tier 4 (Child) visa, upon successful application, is granted in line with the length of the applicant's initial course of study.
- The 4 (Adult) visa is issued to applicants above the age of 17 who want to study in any UK university, college or educational institution.
- This visa allows students to participate in both short and long term courses for at least 6 months.
- On this visa, students are permitted to work between 10 to 20 hours per week during school sessions and full time during vacations.
- Students have to confirm that they have been admitted into an educational institution in the UK before applying. This confirmation should be proffered by a licensed education provider in the UK.
- There should be documents proving that the student has been provided with accommodation by the host. Students can also sort this out on their own.
- There would also be need to provide evidence that they have sufficient funds available to support themselves while in the UK.
United Kingdom Work Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Foreign nationals who have been offered a skilled job in the United Kingdom are those who can apply for this visa type.
- The visa can either be a work visa (critical skills), a work visa (intra-country transfer) or a general work visa.
- Before applying to live in the United Kingdom, you must be employed by a licensed sponsor in the country. Your application must have been thoroughly assessed by your employer before you will be assigned a certificate of sponsorship.
- You will also need to pay a fee of £19.20 for your biometric features to be captured.
- The validity of your stay in the United Kingdom is 5 years and 14 days, or the duration stated in your certificate of sponsorship, plus an extra month, whichever is shorter.
- As part of your application, it is mandatory that you pay a healthcare surcharge.
- You are required to submit a valid certificate of sponsorship for your job.
- You must also show that you are being paid an appropriate salary for your job.
- Applicants must have applied for a work and residence permit in the UK. The process of getting this permit must have been aided by the employer in the UK.
- With this visa, you can give lectures at higher education institutions as long as it’s not a part-time or full-time role. This visa also allows you to take part in entertainment and sporting activities.
- You must also provide a criminal record certificate if you will be working with vulnerable people such as in an educational institution, a healthcare institution or as a social worker.
- You need to get a certificate of sponsorship reference number from your employer to add to your application. It is an electronic record that holds your personal details and information about the job you’ve been offered. The reference number can be used only once within 3 months of getting it.

Can I extend my stay in the UK if I have a Visitor Visa?
If you hold a Standard Visitor visa, you can apply for an extension as long as your total stay in the UK does not exceed 6 months. That is, if you apply for a 3-month visa, you can apply for an extension for an additional 3 months.
Can I work in the UK with a visitor visa?
No, you cannot work in the UK with a visitor visa. You may, however, be able to study for up to 30 days as long as that is not the main reason for your travel to the UK.
Can I travel with an expired passport?
