  • Algerians intending to visit Azerbaijan must first apply of an E-visa.
  • This online E-visa can be granted by the Azerbaijan consulates in Algeria.
  • This E-visa is valid for a maximum total stay of 90 days within a one-year period.
  • Alongside the printed confirmation of an E-visa, the traveller must also have a return or onward ticket.
  • A proof of hotel accommodation is also needed, as well as an international certificate of yellow fever vaccination.

  • Visitors who attempt to photograph mosques, churches and other religious sites will be detained and questioned while attempting to visit or photograph them. They need to seek permission to do so. 
  • The currency of Azerbaijan is the manat (AZN). Payments of goods and services are paid in local currency. However, pounds sterling, US dollars and euros are easily exchanged. Major hotels, supermarkets and restaurants in Baku usually accept credit cards. There are ATMs in most major towns and cities. 
  • Electronic visa is valid for 30 days and visitors can gain entry only once.  The visa is extendable but should be done before your arrival into  Azerbaijan.
  • In certain circumstances you may be able to apply to the State Migration Service for an extension to your visa.
  • Payment operations can be made only using Visa, Mastercard and UnionPay. The card does not have to be under your name.
  • You can extend your visa by up to 60 days through the State Migration Service of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
