Application requirements

Documents Angolan applicants need to provide.

  • A valid passport with at least 3 months' validity before return date are required.
  • The passport should have at least two blank pages for France visa stamp.
  • Two recent passport photographs with a light background that follows the passport format of a France visa.
  • A copy of the return ticket showing that the applicant has intentions of returning to Angola.
  • Bank statement dating back at least 3 months showing that the applicant has sufficient funds for the duration of stay in France.
  • Applicants should ensure they have a copy of the correctly filled and signed visa application form.
  • Travel/medical insurances required for emergency purposes in France.

Tourist visa

  • The France tourist visa is issued to Angolans who have the intention of exploring the tourist attractions in the country.
  • The tourist visa also gives permission to foreigners to visit friends or family members in France.
  • A valid passport with at least six months of validity from the date of arrival in France is required.
  • Two recent 2 x 2 passport-sized photographs taken against a white background are required.
  • An entry stamp to prove that applicant is entering the country legally is required.
  • The visa stamp should be affixed on the blank pages in the original Angola passport.
  • Recent bank statement showing proof of sufficient fund for the entire duration of stay.
  • Proof of medical insurance to cover the entire duration of stay should be submitted.
  • Applicant travelling with a tourist organization should provide the proof certificate of registration with the tourism company or invitation letter from a tour organization.
  • Proof of accommodation or hotel reservation is mandatory.
  • Minors (under 18) traveling alone, with only one parent, or with a third party, must present a copy of their birth certificate and written, notarized authorization from the absent parent(s) or legal guardian.

  • Holders of a tourist visa are not required to work or study in France or will be deported.

Business visa

  • The business visa is issued to Angolans traveling to France for business purposes such as attending a business meeting, conferences, negotiating and signing contracts, etc.
  • The applicant should provide proof of company registration of the company in France by providing a certificate of registration issued by the Government of France.
  • A cover letter from the applicant's employer in Angola stating the awareness of the applicant's trip, duration and reason of travel to France are required.
  • The business cover letter should also indicate that the applicant is of good conduct.
  • The cover letter should clearly state who will be financially responsible for the applicant during the stay in France and must be signed by a senior employee in the company in Angola.
  • The invitation letter must be approved by the chamber of commerce in France must be provided.
  • Proof of business dealings by both companies should be provided.
  • Income tax for the last three months must be provided.
  • Confirmation of return ticket must be provided, this is to show that the applicant has the intention of returning back to Angola.
  • Applicant's travel itinerary showing travel details and dates of entry and exit from Venezuela is required.
