Application requirements
Documents Angolan applicants need to provide.
- Hungarian passport valid for at least 6 months from the intended arrival date and must have 2 blank pages for visa stamp.
- Duly completed and signed visa application form.
- If the applicant is a minor, the parent's legal guardians are to sign the form.
- Three passport-size photographs (4.5 x 3.5 cm) taken in white background.
- Travel documents must be completed.
- Proof of financial capability.
- Proof of accommodation or hotel reservations.
- Copy of return flight ticket.
- Documentation showing the applicant’s ties to the home country.
- A police report showing the traveller does not have a criminal record.
- Medical insurance to cover the entire duration of stay.
- Documentation confirming the purpose of travel.

Visa type details
Business visa
- Applicants of the business visa do so with the intention of meeting up with business partners in the country for business purposes.
- During your meeting with your partners, you can sign and negotiate contracts, attend trade fairs, conferences, and business summits in the country.
- A letter of invitation from the company in Hungary you are meeting should be provided In the letter, the company’s address, the purpose of your visit, and the duration of your visit should be clearly stated.
- If the applicants' expenses will be covered by the partner company or the employer, it should be stated in the letter of invitation.
- A letter from your parent company in Angola stating the awareness of your leave, purpose, and duration of stay should be submitted.
- The letter from your parent company should also contain your job description and salary scale.
- Proof of previous trade relations between the two companies should be provided if any.
- The original certified copy of Memorandum and Article of Association should be provided.
- You are not allowed to be employed whilst you are in the country.
- Holders of this visa are not allowed to seek public funds.
- Non-Angolans applying for this visa are required to have a copy of their stay permit in Angola.
- Proof of paid visa application fee is required.
- Proof of incentive of returning to your country at the expiration of your visa is required.
- Private business owners are to submit their certificate of business registration.
- Income Return tax for the past six months should also be submitted.
- At the expiration of this visa, applicants are expected to leave the country.
- Minors travelling without their parents should have a letter of consent signed by both parents. Also, the original copy of the minor’s birth certificate is required.
- This visa is only extended in exceptional cases.
Tourist visa
- Angolans who intend to travel to Hungary for tourism, sight-seeing, relaxation, and recreational purposes are eligible to apply for the tourist visa.
- The tourist visa also doubles as a visitor visa. Angolans intending to visit friends and relatives in the country can do so using this visa.
- Since Hungary is one of the Schengen countries, the Hungarian tourist visa allows its holder to visit other countries in the Schengen Area.
- Foreigners travelling to the country to visit friends and relatives should ensure they have a letter of invitation from the host. Home address and telephone number of the host should be clearly stated in the letter of invitation.
- Events and festivals can be attended by Angolans with this visa.
- If you are employed, a letter from your employer stating allowance and awareness of your leave is required. The purpose of your visit and the duration of your stay in the country should be stated in the letter.
- Applicants are to submit their passport which has a validity of at least six months from the proposed date of travel. copies of previous visas should also be submitted.
- A travel health insurance that covers the applicant's duration of stay
- Applicants are to provide travel itinerary with dates and flight numbers specifying the entry and exit of the applicant from Hungary.
- Proof of financial sufficiency that covers applicants duration of stay should be submitted.
- Proof of hotel reservation or accommodation should be submitted.
- For those retired, a document proving pension or other financial support is required.
- Children under the age of 18 years should ensure they have the original copy of their birth certificate. If they are travelling without their parents, a document of consent signed by both parents should be made available.
- Proof that you have the incentive of returning to your country at the expiration of your visa should be submitted.
- Proof of payment of visa application fees should be provided.
- During your time in the country, you are not allowed to seek public funds or work in Hungary.
- You are expected to leave Hungary on or before this visa expires.
- The documents provided should be in Hungarian.
Transit visa
- Applicants of this visa have the intention of boarding a connecting flight from Hungary to their destination country.
- The traveller must be in possession of a valid passport.
- A round-trip or onward ticket, and a valid visa for the next destination must also be presented.
- On arrival into Hungary, the traveller is escorted to the transit hall of Hungary’s International Airport.
- The traveller will remain in custody of an agent of the National Immigration Service who holds passports and or travel documents until the passenger boards the connecting flight.
- Holders of this visa are not allowed to work or study while they are in the country.
- If you are a minor, a letter of consent signed by both your parents should be provided. The original copy of your birth certificate is also required.
- All travellers are advised to be vaccinated against yellow fever before departing their country.
