Saudi Arabia Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Saudi business visa is for business purposes.
  • This visa is issued to businessmen, investors, sales representatives, and managers.
  • Individuals can also attend conferences and seminars with this visa.
  • A business visa cannot be used for tourist(Saudi Arabia currently does not issue tourist visas) or work purposes neither can it be used for permanent residence in Saudi Arabia.
  • It is a short stay visa valid from 90-180 days depending on the number of entries. However, individuals are not allowed to stay beyond 30 days during each visit.
  • Employed applicants are to provide a letter from their employer in Nigeria, addressed to the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia. The letter should state that the applicant’s official position and confirm that the applicant has been sent on the business trip.
  • A signed invitation letter from Sponsor or partner company in Saudi Arabia is required.
  • All foreigners travelling to Saudi must abide by the Islamic rules of the country.
  • Applicants should ensure that they fill the visa form in CAPITAL LETTERS and black ink to avoid delay in visa processing.
  • Incomplete or wrongly filled applications would be returned the same day.
  • For travelling minors, a notarized authorization signed by both parents will be required.

Saudi Arabia Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • The student visa is for foreigners who want to take up a course of study in Saudi Arabia.
  • It is can be a 90-day single-entry visa or 180 days multiple-entry both with a maximum stay period of 30 days.
  • This visa can, however, be extended upon expiry provided that the residence permit(Iqama) is still valid.
  • Students should not reside outside the Kingdom for more than thirteen (13) months from the date of their first departure before applying for an extension of the visa. 
  • The student must also submit proof of current enrollment in school along with a notarized letter from the guardian who is a resident in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  • Applicant’s passport should be valid for at least 12 months from the date of entry into Saudi Arabia.
  • The student is to provide a reference letter showing the issuance date of the visa. The visa must be issued from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  • Holders of student visa cannot be employed, they have to apply for an employment visa.
  • Original birth certificate of the student is required.
  • The original High school certificate of the applicant along with one photocopy should be presented. The photocopy must be authenticated by the Saudi Cultural mission.
  • A Police report showing clean criminal records or details of criminal records of the applicant if any.
  • Proof of sufficient funds or sponsorship for the duration of the study.
  • Three copies of the applicant’s medical report signed and verified by a licensed physician should be presented. Three passport photographs should be attached to the medical reports.
  • The medical report must be used within three months from the time it was issued. However, minors under 16 years do not require a medical report.
  • You have to present approval from the Botswana Government to travel.
  • For married students who want to travel Bwith their spouses or children, they are to present a proof of kinship: for a spouse, a copy of the marriage certificate; for a child, a copy of the birth certificate.

Saudi Arabia Work Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • A work visa is issued for the purpose of work or employment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  • Individuals must have an International passport valid for 6 months or the duration of the visa (whichever is longer).
  • To obtain a work visa, the individual must be sponsored by a Saudi employer, citizen or foreigner licensed to do business in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  • A work visa is valid for 14-90 days and can be used for numerous entries/exit.
  • It is possible to apply for a visa extension after the expiry of your visa. 
  • The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia does not charge any fee for the extension of a visa.
  • A copy of a valid residence permit along with a copy of the last visa extension if there is any, must be provided before the extension is granted.
  • It takes about 5 days to process a Saudi Arabia visa if all the required documents are complete.
  • Application forms must be filled in block letters with a black pen.
  • Apart from the work visa, individuals must obtain a residence permit called Iqama.
  • Iqama is issued by the Ministry of the Interior’s Directorate-General for Passports.
  • It takes 1-3 weeks for the Iqama to be issued and it must be carried by the applicant at all times once in Saudi territory as proof that they have legal rights to live and work there.
  • If a company in Saudi is found employing foreigners who do not hold proper work permits and visas it can be fined up to SAR 100,000 and have its license revoked.
  • The individuals working without the permit and visa will also be fined a sum of SAR 10,000, arrested and deported.
  • Applicants of work visas must be between 16 and 60 years of age. The official retirement age in Saudi Arabia is 60 years.
  • Overstaying your visa would result in paying hefty fines.
