Egypt Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Egypt tourist visa is issued for individuals from other countries travelling to explore and tour Egypt.
  • It usually grants an uninterrupted stay for a period of 90 days.
  • Holders of this visa are allowed to go on vacations to Egypt, visit friends and relatives residing in Egypt but are not allowed to work or study.
  • Before travelling, applicants are to have proof of sufficient funds for their trip.
  • Vaccination for yellow fever is mandatory for all travellers to Egypt from Cambodia.
  • Visitors are expected to have a place to stay in Egypt.
  • If you would be staying with your friend or relative, they are to issue a letter inviting you.
  • The letter should state how you are related to them, duration of your stay and places to be visited during the stay.
  • Those that are employed in Cambodia are to submit a letter from their employer stating that they are on an approved leave.
  • Your passport must be at valid for up to 6 months before you apply for your Egyptian visa.
  • If it is not valid for up to six months, you have to apply for a new passport.
  • It is possible to extend your Egyptian visa.

Egypt Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • Egyptian business visa is for individuals who want to conduct trade activities in Egypt.
  • This visa is valid for 90 days and allows uninterrupted business activities for the period.
  • Your passport must be valid for the next six months and should not be torn or altered in any way.
  • A letter of invitation from the business partner in Egypt is required. The letter should state the nature of the business to be conducted and the duration of the business.
  • The letter should be printed on the company's letterheaded paper.
  • Your employer in Cambodia is to issue a letter stating that the trip is approved and that the applicant would return to Cambodia after the trip.
  • Accommodation is required for all applicants.
  • This visa also allows people to attend conferences and meetings in the country.
  • If you are travelling to attend a meeting, pre-registration is required.
  • Applicants must have sufficient funds for their trip and proof of such must be provided.
  • If you overstay your visa for more than 30 days, you would be fined around EGP 1500.
  • Settling the fine might cause delays which could make you lose your flight.
