Basic Travel Requirements for Cambodians visiting Spain
Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Spanish Visa.
- A Cambodian passport issued not more than 10 years earlier and valid for at least 3 months from the date of departure from Spain.
- The passport must contain at least two blank pages for visa stamping.
- Previously issued Schengen visa (if there is any).
- Completely filled and signed visa application form.
- Two identical passport photographs with a light background.
- Travel insurance worth a minimum of 30,000 € and valid for the entire Schengen area.
- Cover letter.
- Proof of accommodation.
- Proof of sufficient funds for the trip.

Spain Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Spanish tourist visa is a short-stay Schengen visa which allows an uninterrupted stay of 90 days in every 180 days.
- This visa allows its holder to enjoy beautiful sights, engage in recreational activities and go on visitations in Spain.
- Travel medical insurance is required for everyone who wants to go on a trip to Spain.
- This medical insurance must have a minimum coverage of 30,000 EUR and should cover all Schengen area.
- If you would be visiting a friend or relative, they are required to send an invitation letter stating your relationships and the duration of your stay.
- A detailed itinerary of your trip, including places to be visited during your trip and duration of your stay.
- Hotel reservation is required for individuals who do not have a host and the booking evidence is required.
- A cover letter explaining why you want to visit Spain should also be provided.
- It is advisable to submit your application about three months before your intended travel date to Spain so as to give the embassy enough time to process your application.
- Applicants are to make a visa appointment and then an interview would be conducted.
- Occasionally, the consul would require additional documents and applicants should be prepared for such occasions.
Spain Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- This visa allows individuals to come to Spain and engage in business-related activities.
- It allows you to attend conferences, meetings, conduct training and other unpaid activities in Spain.
- It is recommended to apply at least three weeks in advance, in order to avoid any possible delay by the embassy.
- Applicants are to have an accommodation reservation in Spain prior to their trip.
- The host company is required to send an invitation letter which should be printed on the company's letterhead, state the nature of the business to be conducted and if the company would sponsor the trip.
- If there have been previous dealings between the host company and applicant, it should equally be stated in the letter.
- Those who have a job in Cambodia are to present a letter from their employer which should mention the applicant's position at work, salary earned and that the trip is an approved one.
- In the case where the employer is the one funding the trip, it should also be stated in the letter.
- The applicant must have a source of funding for their trip.
- This visa does not allow the applicant to engage in any form of paid employment or manual labour.
Spain Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Spanish Student visa is a long-stay visa that allows for a stay of over 90 days and allows its holder to engage in academically related activities.
- The visa generally allows research activities, non-work placements, student volunteer services, and to obtain a degree.
- Before you can be issued a visa, you need to be admitted into an educational institution in Spain.
- The study visa requires a Spain study application form and should not be confused with the Schengen visa application form.
- All information in the form must be correct and in line with the additional documents that would be submitted.
- Students are to have a minimum of 540 EUR for each month of stay as proof that they can fund their studies.
- Scholarships are allowed as proof of sufficient funds but a certificate in effect is required.
- Medical insurance is also mandatory. It should be valid in Spain and for up to a year. A travel insurance is not accepted.
- Criminal records of the applicant from where the person has resided for the past five years is required.
- The criminal record should be issued at least 90 days before the application date and should be translated into Spanish.
- An interview is mandatory for all applicants.

If you are not a big spender and it is not the peak season, with about 50 EUR per day, you would comfortably stay in Spain.
