Basic Travel Requirements for Cameroonians visiting France
Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a French Visa.
- The French Visa Application form to be filled completely and with sincerity. You can also fill the France Schengen Visa application form electronically and then print a hard-copy.
- Two photos must be attached; the photo should be of passport format a recent whole-face capture with a light background.
- Your passport and copies of your previous visas valid for at least 3 months beyond the return date are required. Your passport must have at least two blank pages.
- A copy of your return ticket reservation. It is not recommended to purchase the ticket before obtaining the visa if not otherwise required.
- A travel visa insurance confirmation of a minimum of 30,000 € coverage within France and the entire Schengen area. In order to apply for a French visa, the French embassy consulate requires a Schengen travel insurance policy that is valid in all Schengen countries.
- A cover letter stating the purpose of a visit to France and travel itinerary.
- Copies of flight ticket reservations.
- A proof of accommodation for your entire stay in France.
- A roof of civil status (marriage certificate, birth certificate of children, death certificate of spouse, ration card if applicable)
- A proof of sufficient financial means for the period of stay. To show that you can finance your whole trip and have at least 146€ to spend per day, you are to provide proof of financial sufficiency. This could be your recent bank account statements for the last 3 months.

France Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The tourist visa is meant for travellers willing to visit France for tourism or pleasure purpose.
- You are required to submit two copies of the completed French Tourist Visa Application Form having your personal information
- Two passport-sized photos, no older than three months is also needed.
- Your valid passport issued within the last 10 years and valid for a minimum of 3 months after your intended stay in France is to be provided. The passport must have at least two blank pages in order to be able to put the visa sticker on it.
- If you have travelled to other countries, you are to submit other copies of those visas at Embassy.
- A certificate of a criminal record from your home country showing that you have not been involved in any crime before is needed.
- A travel Itinerary that shows what you will be doing in France, when you will arrive and when you will leave, and includes proof of arranged transportation including plane tickets booking and hotel booking.
- A proof of accommodation in France, either from a hotel, or a letter of invitation if you are planning to stay with a host is one of the requirement during visa processing.
- Applicants are expected to provide proof of their financial sufficiency to show they can take care of their bills while in
- France.
- Copies of your flight tickets of your destination country should be presented during the visa application process.
- Holders of this visa type are not allowed to work or study during the duration of their stay in France.
- The visa is valid for 180 days.
France Medical Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The French Medical visa is meant for Cameroonians seeking medical treatment in France.
- You are required to submit a letter of invitation from the medical institution or A Formal Agreement of the French Hospital for Patient’s Admission, are documents that must include information such as the aim of the foreign patient’s consult, his/her current diagnosis, therapy to take, length of it, appointment date, medical costs involved, main doctor in charge, and so on.
- The invitation letter you are expected to submit during the visa application must be enclosed together with a formal
- confirmation from the medical institution stating the readiness to treat the patient on a specific date of arrival.
- An evidence of a Prepaid or Covered Medical Treatment is needed to prove you are coming to France for treatment.
- Payment receipt of medical fees from the French Hospital. A letter affirming the costs of the patient’s treatment is already covered.
- A detailed information on medical treatment fee issued by the medical institution’s financial department for uncovered medical treatment.
- A bank transfer slip confirming the payment of a medical treatment fee for prepaid medical treatment of the applicant
- A guarantee letter from the applicant, an affirmation certificate to assure the patient’s capacity to cope with the extra medical costs in case of expecting unforeseen costs of medical treatment to happen
- Verbal note from the Embassy of the home country of the applicant in France or Verbal Note from the Ministry of Health of the home country to prove you are travelling to France for a visit.
- The formal document must declare the readiness of the relevant government of the applicant’s home country to cover his medical treatment costs for covered medical treatment by the Government of the home country of the applicant
- Minors are to provide their original birth certificate, accompanied with a copy valid Schengen Visas of accompanying parents or guardian.
- A medical Report from your doctor in charge of your treatment in your country of residence is required during the applicant.
- A confirmed Hotel Reservation or confirmed accommodation in the medical clinic for accompanying persons of the applicant is to be presented at the Embassy.
- A certificate of the patient in the national list for organs and cornea transplant issued by the medical and surgical team.

France Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Business travellers traveling or visiting France for business purposes or activities are eligible for this type of visa.
- If you have been invited by a French company, you are expected to have an invitation letter from the company you will be visiting and their detailed address accompanied with the duration and purpose of your visit.
- A letter from your employer in Cameroon stating awareness and allowance of your business travel for the duration of your time in the country.
- If there were previous trade relations between the two companies, proof of such events must be provided
- Applicants are to provide bank statements from the last 6 months during the visa processing.
- If the applicants will be financially supported during their trip, a sponsorship letter is required. In order for this
- letter to be valid, it must be accompanied by a bank statement of the sponsor, no older than three months.
- The applicant’s expenses during their stay in the Schengen zone, either the employer or the partner company must state coverage of expenses on the letter or invitation.
- You are required to provide the original copies of all documents with clear double-sided photocopies at the embassy. You should NOT staple the documents together.
- Self-employed Cameroonians must submit proof of business certification such as the business license and the company's certified bank account statements for the last three months.
France Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Cameroonian citizens intending or seeking to study in France are to have a student visa to be able to study in any of the institution in France.
- A print out of your Campus France ID number is required during the visa application.
- A letter of registration from the academic Institution you have been enrolled to is needed.
- A cover letter explaining the study project and a CV Resume is to be among the list of other documents which is needed for the visa processing.
- A proof of payment for your tuition fees a minimum of 615 Euros per month for the complete academic term is to be needed.
- A proof of medical insurance with coverage valid in France is one of the requirements needed.
- A copy of your round-trip airline ticket if you are studying for six months or less or a one-way ticket if you are studying in France for more than six month is to be provided.
- A proof of residency in France such as a lease, electricity bill, title of the property, etc. for a minimum of three months

- application.

- Your proficiency certificate in French language if you have enrolled in a French-taught course is to be submitted at the
- Embassy.
- A receipt which serves as proof of your visa fee payment is required.
- Official enrollment or acceptance letter from the university is to be presented at Embassy or Consulate.
