Basic Travel Requirements for Cameroonians visiting Germany

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a German Visa.


  • Cameroonian passport with a validity of 3 months after the intended date of exit from the country and shouldn't be more than ten years old. The passport should have two blank pages for necessary stamps.
  • A fully  completed visa application form which has been signed where necessary.
  • One bio metric passport-size photograph taken with a white background(36mm-45mm). The passport must not be older than 3 months old.
  • You are submit to bank statements of the past three months prior to the period  to your visa application. This is proof that you can cater for yourself during your stay in the country.
  • A valid travel insurance policy with a coverage of €30,000 for medical insurance.
  • A proof of accommodation whether it is a hotel reservation or you will be staying with a host for the duration of your stay in the country.
  • A copy of your return or onward ticket.
  • A copy of travel itinerary.
  • Receipt of your visa application fee.
  • A sponsorship letter is required which confirms they will be financially supporting your trip to the Schengen  if your trip expenses is to be sponsored another person.
