Basic Travel Requirements for Cameroonians visiting Ireland
Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Irish Visa.
- A fully completed and signed application form.
- An original, signed Cameroonian passport with at least six months validity is required.
- If your are a new passport holder, you will have to provide previous passport showing details of visas issued in other
- countries and your travel history.
- Two passports including a passport style photo, with a white background, taken within the last 6 months is needed when you are applying for an Ireland Visa.
- A copy of your Green Card (both sides) to prove your status.
- A copy of an itinerary or flight reservation from an airline or travel agent is mandatory and must include up-to date flight exit and entry dates.
- Copies of bank statements from the past 6 months are required.
- Copy of a letter from your employer
- For students, you will need to submit an official letter from your school.
- If you are retired, then you will be requested to submit a proof of your retirement fund.
- A copy of hotel reservation is required.
- A personal invitation letter is expected from you if you have been invited by a friend or family.

Ireland Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Irish Tourist visa is also known as Holiday or Irish Visit Visa which is granted to Cameroonians intending to visit Ireland for the purpose of tourism, pleasure trips or to visit families and friends who reside in Ireland.
- The Irish tourist visa is also known as short stay visa and is only granted for the purpose of temporary visits .
- Applicants are expected to provide a current and valid passport with at least six months of validity after the date you intend to leave Ireland.
- A proof of hotel accommodation is required. The purpose of your visit by either a letter of reference or documentary evidence of a hotel booking which provides details of the dates when you will be in Ireland is to be stated in the letter.
- An evidence of your intention to return to your home country after your visit will be required during the visa processing. Also, may have to provide proof of your employment or family commitments in your country of residence to assure the officials about your intention to return.
- If you are going to support yourself during your stay in Ireland, a proof of your financial status is needed. Likely a bank statement covering a six-month period prior to your visa application to prove that you have sufficient funds in your account to cover the costs of your visit to Ireland would be requested.
- Visitors staying with friends or family may have to submit a letter from your host that shows they have take full financial responsibility of your visit.

- If you are applying for an Irish business visa, you must apply for a visa from your home country or from a country where you are a legal resident.
- Applicants are to apply for an Irish business visa, three months before their entry to Ireland.
- You can process your application online in three steps (1)The first step requires you to create a visa application online (2) The second step is for you to pay the visa application fee (3) The third step requires you send in your passport & other documents for processing.
- In some cases, applicants may need to provide bio-metric information to serve as proof of identity.
- After a successful application, an Irish Visa will be placed into your passport/travel document and returned to you. In general, you can expect a decision as soon as possible after your documents have been received.

Ireland Medical Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Cameroonians seeking for medical treatment in Ireland can apply for this visa when they need to do a medical procedure.
- When your Medical treatment visa has been approved, it allows you to come to Ireland for up to 90 days for a medical procedure in a private hospital. Thus, the Medical visa is valid for a duration of 90 days.
- An application letter explaining reasons of your visit since it is medical purpose you indicate that in your letter.
- Your letter must also include your full name and postal address, and the date of arrival and departure, the places you intend to stay when in Ireland, eg hotel, hostel, etc is to submitted at the Embassy.
- Your letter would have to indicate the names and addresses of any members of your family who currently live in Ireland or any other EU/ EEA Country or Switzerland.
- A a letter from your referring hospital (that is the hospital from your home country that have referred you for treatment in Ireland) would be requested during the application process.
- The letter must contain contact details for your hospital and your doctor, and a description of your medical condition, including:
- Diagnosis and prognosis, what sickness you are suffering from
- The medical treatment you need
- Why the treatment you need is not being carried out by the referring hospital or in another hospital in your home country
- Applicants are to also submit a letter from their private hospital in Ireland with their letter head
- The letter must contain contact details for the hospital and doctor(s) who will carry out your treatment and a confirmation that they:
- If your treatment have been discussed before with referring hospital and doctors in your home country, elaborate that on your letter.
- An agreement that it was necessary for you to travel to Ireland for treatment.
- An accommodation plan showing where you will stay during your intended stay in Ireland. If you are staying with a host (eg friend, family) in their home, you are to submit a proof with indicating the host's address and contact information.
- A proof that you have travel and medical insurance to cover your for the full duration of your stay in Ireland, including any risks associated with your medical treatment is to be provided.
Ireland Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Ireland student visa is a visa for applicants intending to come to Ireland to study or become students in any Irish institution of learning.
- The student visa is valid for 90 days. You are expected to apply for a study visa up to 3 months before your date of arrival to Ireland.
- For those intending to apply for a course study that will run more than three months will have to apply for long stay Ireland visa only for a single entry.
- If you are visiting another State prior to travelling to Ireland, you must have the relevant visa for that State in your passport before applying for an Irish visa.
- Applicants of this visa are to provide the Immigrant officer with two color passport sized photographs valid not more than 6 months old
