Basic Travel Requirements for Cameroonians visiting Jamaica

Travelers are required to fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for a Jamaican Visa.

  • A Cameroonian passport with a validity of more than 6 months from the intended period of exiting the country.
  • The passport should have at least two blank pages for the Jamaica visa stamp.
  • A duly completely and signed visa application form signed by the applicant is required.
  • Two identical passport-sized photographs(35mmx45mm) taken on a white background.
  • Original copy of bank statement from the past three months prior to the period of visa application.

  • A proof of civil status is required to prove your legal status.

Jamaica Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements

  • This visa is issued to foreign nationals who have the intention of visiting Jamaica for leisure and tourism.
  • Cameroonians can also visit their friends or relatives living in the country with this type of visa.
  • A letter of invitation from your host in Jamaica is required. The letter must state the relationship between the applicant and the host and contain the valid contact information of the host.
  • You are permitted to attend festivals and other events during the period of stay in Jamaica.
  • Under 18-year-olds are expected to provide an original copy of their birth certificate and a notarized consent signed by both parents.
  • Holders of this visa are not allowed to be gainfully employed during their time in the country or get paid for any service rendered.
  • Cameroonians who have applied for this type of visa are to provide proof of their intention of returning to their home country at the expiration of this visa.
  • A receipt for payment of visa application fee is required.
  • Foreigners are advised to be vaccinated against yellow fever before travelling to the country.
  • A flight itinerary with up-to-date flight exit and entry dates is to be included with other documents needed. 
  • You are expected to pay a departure tax which will be included in your airfare. 
  • Any visitor who attempts to take marijuana in the country would lead to be charged with drug trafficking. Possession of two ounces or less of marijuana may result in a fine. While possession of larger amounts may led to arrest or prosecution. 

Jamaica Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements

    • This visa is issued to Cameroonian  business travelers visiting Jamaica with the intention of engaging in business activities with their partners.
    • Foreigners  are permitted to negotiate and sign business contracts with their partners in the country.
    • Holders of this visa  can  also attend trade fairs, conferences, and business seminars relating to their profession.
    • An official letter of invitation from the inviting company in Jamaica is required. The letter must state the purpose and duration of the visit.
    • On the business letter, it  must be included that a sponsor will be responsible  for the applicant's finances during the duration of stay in Jamaica.
    • A letter from the applicant’s employer in Cameroon should be provided. The letter must state the applicant’s job position, salary level, and length of employment.
    • A proof of previous trade relations between the applicant’s company and the host company should be provided if any.
    • Documents which show that you have the  intention of returning to your country at the expiration of this visa is required.
    •  A receipt which proves  your payment of visa application fee should be provided.
