Mongolia Tourist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The tourist Visa is issued to travelers intending to visit Mongolia for recreation, relaxation and tourism purposes.
- This type of visa is for short stay visits.
- The duration of stay with a Mongolian tourist visa is 30 days. This means you are allowed stay up to 30 day.
- The tourist visa is valid for 90 days.
- The visa is extendable . The extension is for up to 30 days once in a six-month period.
- Cameroonians can apply for single-entry tourist visa, which means they can gain entry into Mongolia only once.
- An original passport with the validity of at least six months is required during the visa processing.
- With this visa you can also visit your friends and relatives residing in Mongolia. However, you are expected to obtain a family visa.
- Those applying for a Mongolian tourist visa would have to provide a proof of their hotel reservation if they are not going to stay with a host who resides in Mongolia.
- Holders of this visa type are allowed to attend events and festivals while they are in Mongolia.
- Cameroonians who are employed are expected to provide a letter from their employers. The letter would serve as evidence that they were granted a leave and would continue working after they exit Mongolia.
- A copy of your return flight ticket must be provided.
- Visitors are to prove their financial capability with bank statements which are least six months old to show that they have sufficient funds to pay for expenses during their trip.
- Applicants are required to register at the Immigration Authority within 7 days after entry into the country if they plan to stay for more than 30 days.
- People who are under 18 years of age are to submit an original copy of their birth certificate, as well as, a notarized consent signed by both parents.
- A document that proves your intention to return back to your home country is required.
- Travelers with pets are expected to provide their pets’ passports, a medical certificate showing proof of vaccination for at least 14 days prior to arrival to Mongolia. And no injection should be administered within 24 hours of arrival.
- Travelers are allowed to bring in their own medicines and other valuables like wine, cigarettes and beers.

Mongolia Business Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Cameroonians who want to travel for business purposes are eligible for a Mongolian business visa.
- Holders of this visa can engage in business activities; business meetings, negotiate and sign contracts in Mongolia.
- They are allowed to attend trade fairs, conferences and business summits too.
- The Mongolian business visa has three types ; B visa, HG visa and T visa.
- B Visa: is a single entry business visa valid for thirty days.
- HG visa: is a single entry business visa valid for a year.
- T visa: is a multiple entry visa valid for six months to a year which can be renewed annually.
- Holders of a B visa are not allowed to legally work in Mongolia. The visa is for visitors attending meetings, conference, exhibitions and other similar events. And also, it must be sponsored by a legally registered Mongolian company.
- With a HG visa, one can work legally in Mongolia. But the HG visa holders are required to obtain a work permit from the Ministry of Labor and long-term residency permit which allows them to legally work in Mongolia.
- The T visas are issued to individual foreign investors in Mongolian companies or to a foreign Executive Director of a Mongolian company.
- Applicants of a business visa are expected to have a passport valid for at least six months beyond intended stay.
- A copy of a return or onward ticket is required during the visa processing.
- A letter of employment from the applicant’s employer in Cameroon must be provided. The letter should state the applicant’s job position, the duration and the purpose of the applicant’s visit.
- A company in Mongolia has to invite you before you are granted approval. The letter should contain the company’s contact details and the purpose of your visit.
- A copy of the certificate of state registration, and certificate of a foreign incorporation is required from the sending company.
- Sponsors of your trip are expected to write a business letter indicating he/she would be responsible for your travel expenses.
- A copy of the inviting company’s tax record is required.
- Mongolian business visa can be is extended for 30 days once in a six month period.
- The processing time is usually between 2 to 5 working days.
Mongolia Work Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Those who intend to take up employment while in Mongolia are eligible for this type of visa or can apply for a work visa.
- Applicants must have been offered employment in a Mongolian company before applying for this type of visa.
- Applicants are to provide a letter of employment from their future employer in Mongolia stating the position they have been offered.
- Cameroonians won't get approval to their visas unless they have the required qualification for the nature of the job offered.
- A proof which shows that no Mongolian citizen was qualified for the job must be provided by the employing company before the consulate can grant approval on this visa.
- Cameroonians who were granted a work visa must register with the Immigration Agency within 7 days to obtain a residence card within 21 days, immediately they gain entry into Mongolia.
- Cameroonians are expected to obtain a work visa within 10 days of their arrival into Mongolia.
- Before you obtain the work permit, your work visa application must include the following;
- - Cover letter
- - The company's copy of state registration, certificate of foreign incorporation as well as special permission to employ foreigners.
- - Copy of passport pages clearly containing passport number, date of issue, expiry date, your name and date of birth.
- - Copy of marriage certificate and birth certificate of family members, if applicable.
- The work visa is extendable . But the visa can be extended up to 30 days once in six months.
- Holders of this visa are eligible for long-term residence permit. This is to be arranged with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
Mongolia Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Foreign students who wish to study in any of Mongolia's higher institutions are eligible to apply for a student visa.
- The Mongolian student visa is also known as "S" visa.
- Applicants are expected to present a letter written with school’s letterhead and signed by the school proprietor.
- The student visa (S) is granted to Cameroonians who are willing to come to Mongolia for the purposes of studying, training, internship and research.
- The students are required to get a prior approval from the Office of Immigration, Naturalization and Foreign Citizens (OINFC) in Ulaanbaatar before approval is granted on their student visa.
- The applicants are to provide their certificates and transcripts from previous schools to the embassy.
- Cameroonians studying in Mongolia are allowed to work part-time when school is in session and full-time when the school is on break.
- International students can be granted permanent residence in Mongolia after they complete their studies.
- The extension of the student is to cover the entire duration of the study.

Mongolia Journalist Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Cameroonian journalists who are visiting Mongolia to represent the foreign media temporarily travelling to Mongolia are eligible for this visa.
- The Mongolian journalist visa also known as HM visa.
- The members of media organizations from Cameroon are eligible candidates who can apply for this visa.
- Those who apply for this visa intend to visit Mongolia for the purpose of media reporting.
- This visa is extendable for only 30 days which is granted at a six-month interval.
- An invitation letter from the media company you will be working within Mongolia is required. The letter should clearly state the duration and purpose of your visit.
- Your journalist identity card would be required as a valid means of identification
- Holders of this visa cannot t take up permanent residence in Mongolia with this type of visa.
- You are expected to start their application before the intended entry to avoid long visa processing.
- The processing fee paid is non-refundable whether approval was granted or not.
Mongolia Transit Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Cameroonians with the intention of making short stops in Mongolia can apply for this type of visa.
- With this visa, foreigners are allowed to board a connecting flight from an airport in Mongolia to their destination country.
- The visa is valid for 72 hours from the date of entry.
- A passport with the minimum of two blank pages, and with validity of at least six months beyond the intended stay is to be provided by applicants making short stops in Mongolia.
- One copy of a recent colored passport photograph is to be submitted by the applicant at the Embassy.
- If you are applying for a transit visa, you are expected to provide a visa and other entry permits of your destination country.
- A copy of plane ticket entering and exiting Mongolia should be provided.
- A copy of a flight ticket to your destination country with flight dates is needed.
- An official itinerary written with the tour company’s letterhead in Mongolia is required and should list all services and dates.
- Holders of this visa are not permitted to receive payment for services rendered while in Mongolia with this visa.
- You are not allowed to enroll in any institution during their stay or study any course while in Mongolia
- Minors are to provide the original copy of their birth certificate, as well as a notarized consent signed by both their parents.
- A proof of payment of your visa application fee is required.
