- The Netherlands tourist visa is also known as the "Type C" Schengen visa. It enables tourists to visit the Netherlands for relaxation, tourism or pleasure.
- The Netherlands is only for short stays.
- You must have a valid passport with at least two blank pages to affix the visa.
- Two passport photographs not older than six months (35 x 45mm)taken on a white background is required.
- Travellers intending to visit friends and family in the Netherlands can obtain a tourist visa.
- If you were invited to the Netherlands by friends or relatives, you are required to present a letter of invitation from your host. Your host’s home address, telephone number and other means of contact (if any) should be stated in the letter.
- Cameroonians visiting the Netherlands on a tourist visa are not allowed to take up any study program or course while in the country.

- You are to provide a letter from your inviting company in the Netherlands. The address of the company and the dates of your visit should be included in the letter.
- If the company you are meeting in the Netherlands will be responsible for your expenses while you are in the country, this should be stated in the letter.

- If the applicant of this visa has had previous business dealings with the company they are visiting, proof of this must be provided.
- Holders of this visa are allowed to have jobs or take up any form of employment while they in the Netherlands with this visa.
- Holders of the Netherlands business visa also cannot seek public funds.
- The Netherlands Business visa is a multiple-entry visa, valid from entry date for a maximum of 90 days within a period of 180 days.
- Cameroonians are expected to exit the country at the expiration of their visa or face consequences.
- Before this visa is issued, it must have been proven that the applicant does not pose a threat to public order, public health, domestic security or international relations.
- Travellers should be able to prove they have enough funds to comfortably spend at least 34 euros per day while in the Netherlands.
Netherlands Medical Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- Cameroonians seeking medical treatment can visit the Netherlands with a medical visa.
- Applicants who want to gain entry for medical treatment are expected apply for a residence permit. The application costs €1033.
- A full medical diagnosis from your doctor in your home country is required. It should be accompanied by a document stating why the ailment is best treated in the Netherlands.
- The hospital or doctor in the Netherlands will also need to send a medical attestation confirming the date of appointment as well as their knowledge of your medical situation and is to submit same while processing the visa.
- Employed applicants are to provide a letter from their employer and it should be stated in the letter that they are aware of your leave. Your position and how long you have been employed in the company should be clearly stated too.
- The applicant must be able to demonstrate they have sufficient funds to cover their entire medical expenses while in the Netherlands.
- Minors must provide the original copy of their birth certificate. If they are travelling alone or with one of their parents, a document of consent which is signed by both parents of the minor should be provided.

Netherlands Student Visa Eligibility & Requirements
- The Netherlands student visa is for Cameroonians who have the intention of studying in a school in the Netherlands.
- Applicants of this visa should apply for a provisional residence visa also known as the MVV visa. Afterwards, the host institution will then apply for a full residence permit on the traveller's behalf.
- To apply for an MVV visa you will need a valid passport and at least one passport page photocopy.
- The MVV allows entry in the country for a six-month period. Most of the courses at universities last for 1 to 4 years, a mere MVV will not suffice.
- Once you enter the country, you need to apply for VVR or a Residence Permit. The VVR is also applied for by the host university.
- VVR is permitted for study purposes only and is valid for the duration of the programme the student had enrolled in. There is another condition attached with the validity of VVR. It stays valid provided the student scores 50% of credit throughout the course duration.
- A proof that you are able to fend for yourself and support your expenses during the duration of your study. It is expected that you have enough money to spend at least 850 euros per month.
- Before applicants can initiate the visa application process, they must have been accepted into one of the recognized institutions of learning in the Netherlands.
- You are expected to provide a letter of admission from the institution you are enrolled in. This is proof that you can attend lectures and write exams at the school.
- Certificates and transcripts of the schools you previously attended is required.
- Foreign students are allowed to work part-time as long as it does not interrupt their studies.
- An extension to this visa can be granted to cover the full duration of your course of study.
- Student visa applicants are required to undergo a medical test for tuberculosis, this is one of the requirements of the visa application.
- If you are a minor travelling without your parent, a letter of consent signed by both parents should be provided. Also, an unabridged original copy of your birth certificate is required.
- It costs around €60 to process this visa.
- In some cases, you might need to take a civic integration exam at the consulate which costs about 150 euros.
