Business visa
- This visa is for Cape Verdean visa applicants who wish to enter into Luxembourg for business reasons.
- This visa allows its holders a maximum stay of 90 days.
- The Luxembourg business visa is issued based on single-entry for those who wish to enter the country only once and multiple/double-entry for persons who wish to enter Luxembourg more than once.
- Applicants are to provide an invitation letter from the inviting company in Luxembourg.
- This letter must also contain the detailed address of the company, accompanied by the date and purpose of your trip.
- A letter granting allowance/permission of the applicant's business trip by the employer is to be submitted for the application.
- If you are going for conferences, seminars, or lectures, you are to provide a registration certificate of the event or an invitation letter from the sponsors/organizers of the event.
- The applicant's bank statements for the last 6 months are to be submitted.
- If the applicant is self-employed, the company's registration license and bank statements are to be submitted also.
- This visa is processed within 15 days so the applicant has to apply for the visa between 15 days to 3 months before the planned trip.
- A letter stating coverage of the applicant's expenses for their entire trip is to be provided also.
Student visa
- This visa is for Cape Verdean students who wish to travel to Luxembourg for the purpose of studying in any of the educational institutions in the country.
- This visa is a long term visa which means that its holder is allowed to stay in Luxembourg for a long time.
- This visa will not be issued to students who have not been given admission to an institution in Luxembourg.
- Applicants of this visa must have applied to the Immigration Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Luxembourg for ‘temporary authorization to stay’ .
- This temporary authorization to stay is valid for a period of 90 days only after which the applicant can then apply for a student visa.
- Proof of enrollment as a full-time student in one of Luxembourg’s institutions for higher education must be submitted for this application.
- Proof of payment of complete tuition fees for the course of study is to be submitted.
- Medical insurance for the applicant's entire stay in Luxembourg must be submitted also.
- The medical insurance must have an insurance coverage of at least 30,000Euros and must be valid throughout the Schengen area.
- The applicant must show proof of at least 500Euros per day for their entire stay.
- A valid proof of accommodation should be submitted.
