How to get a Malta visa from Central African Republic

• Central Africans intending to travel to Malta for tourism purposes can apply for the Malta tourist visa.
• Malta is part of the Schengen countries so you can apply for a Schengen short-stay 'Type C' visa.
• This visa is valid for 90 days.
• The Malta Type C tourist visa has three types:
• Single entry - entitles to a single uninterrupted stay during the period stipulated in the visa, which may not exceed than 3 months.
• Double entry visa - entitles to two stays during the period stipulated in the visa. while the sum of the lengths of stay may not exceed (3) three months within a half-year.
• Multiple entry visa - entitles to multiple stays during the period stipulated in the visa, while the sum of the lengths of stay may not exceed (3) three months within a half-year.
• A letter of invitation from your host in Malta explaining the relationship of the applicant and host must be provided.
• The purpose of travel must also be explained. The letter must state the duration of stay, host’s name, host’s contact information and place of stay.
• Applicants are required to provide proof of valid medical insurance to cover expenses which includes urgent medical attention or emergency hospital treatment.
• The insurance must cover the entire duration of your stay. The Malta Schengen-standard insurance cover must be capable of bearing medical bills worth 30,000 Euros.
• The currency restriction for exit out of Malta is 10,000 Euros.
• Malta customs authorities may enforce strict regulations concerning currency restrictions and temporary importation into or export from Malta of items such as firearms, antiquities, or any item that might be deemed to have resale value.
• Evidence of sufficient funds which is enough to support your stay in Malta, like recent bank statement must be provided. This is to ensure that you have sufficient funds to complete your stay in Malta.
• Your bank statement for the past six months should be stamped and signed by a bank official.
• Proof of social ties, such as your marriage certificate (if you are married) or birth certificate of children (if applicable) must be provided.

• If you are self employed, you are required to provide a covering letter. This letter must be on your company's letterhead.
• If the travel expenses would be covered by the employer or the business partner in Malta, it should be clearly stated in the letter.
• Confirmation of business leave by your employer should be provided as a letter which explains this. Your position in the company and the duration of your trip to Malta should be also stated.
• Proof of previous dealings with the company you are meeting up with in Malta should be provided, if any.
• A travel itinerary must also be provided. It must include date of arrival and departure, and also check-in and check-out dates at the hotels you are staying in.
• Certificate of business registration of your partner company in Malta is required, and also your company in Central African Republic must be provided.
• You are required to provide your salary slip for the last three months (if you are employed).
• You must provide income tax papers from the last three years.

• The Malta work visa is valid for one year.
• The Employment and Training Corporation is at present the entity that processes applications for the issue of employment licenses (previously known as work permits) with regards to foreign nationals to be employed in Malta.
• Applicants are required to provide their curriculum vitae, and references/testimonial.
• Covering letter by employer indicating site of work must be provided by the applicant.

Tipping is customary in Malta and a gratuity of between 5% and 10%, whenever good service has been provided is reasonable. However if a service charge has already been included in the bill, a tip is not necessary.
